heh, I know. "Techno" is a general American term, but it's not general in Europe. Just be careful with your wording ;)

Anyone who says this doesnt deserve to breath.

yea, he should probably stick to being un-original and boring, cuz thats much better. I HATE it when people do things a little different than what I'm used to. From now on Jules should not talk during the entire show-- instead we'll have a computerized voice announce the tracks. And then when he's done mixing the show, we'll throw him back into this metal cage specially made for keeping original DJs at bay. Oh and when he IS allowed out of the cage he has to strictly beat match n fade between songs. Anything else will be deemed an act of devience. WOW that would be so sweet, i'm going to submit this ideal to the BBC.

Jules shouldnt talk ever... full stop.

His show is incredibly boring - he has an extrememly poor t/l - doesnt mix properly and is constantly chuckingout boring julesisms.

His livesets are wank, he plays dated tracks 6 months after every other dj stoped playing them, he throws them into an extremely bizare order - and his mixing really is quite dodgy - many bedroom djs can get the beats together better than he can.

Considering you think he plays 'techno' i'll assume you don't know much about the scene.

Jules shouldnt be put in a cage- someone instead should cut his throat - he is indeed a ing twat.

Im going to bed in disgust.

Alright, first of all radio is a bad medium for any type of music to be played. You can't get into the music on any radioshow because of the commercials every 5mins. So thats not a good display of his genius. However, he plays a lot of different genres and a lot of white label on his show-- by no means "cheese" or whatever you people call it.

Secondly, you attacked his mixing skills which is something I can't understand. I mean, he's obviously talented or else no one would book him. saying there are more bedroom dj's that are better then him? What are you thinking? He has his own radioshow on the worlds largest Radio broadcast(BBC) and he plays all the biggest events with the worlds best DJs every weekend-- I sure hope I don't succumb to his level of play

Thirdly, according to you this statement is true: new music = totally sweet --and-- old music = bad. So songs like Cafe del mar should never be played again? Good music = good music. Perhaps the songs might lose their appeal after being played a lot, but whose fault is that? IF a song is played a lot that means its good, and who determines what a dj plays? That's right, its the individual-- a dj's job is to play to the crowds wants-- this is basic dj knowledge. And on top of all this, do you REALLY see a lot of variation in the tracklistings of the most famous dj's? I can't find too much. I've noticed that once I've listened to one dj's set-- i've pretty much listened to them all. However, Judge Jules has a little more creative insight then most and puts together a set which differs from the rest. Which is the reason many people like him and why many people hate him. Its a fact People hate change(U.S. Census poll-1998).

Fourthly, I ALREADY said I was using "techno" in the general sense. I didn't mean that he actually played the specific genre of TECHNO. I know the difference in styles of music-- for christ sakes, i've been listening to "ELECTRONICA" since I was a fetus.

Lastly, the statement about someone cutting his throat just shows how mentally deficient you are and therefore your opinion is rubbish.

First off - Jules's show has no commercials - considering you listen to it 20 times a week you should know this by now. The BBC is commercial free- its paid for by the british tv license.

He made his name years ago when not many people were in to djing - now loads of people are and jules's mixing/track selection is poor compared. His mixing is pretty abysmal - even someone like dave pearce always gets the beats together - jules doesnt half the time. I know plenty of bedrooms djs who have been playing for 2 years who can mix better than jules - and they have a much better track selection.

The BBC may be the largest broadcaster - but this is because of the bbc world news services. Domesticly in the UK, bbc has 4 national FM stations, 4 Digital only stations, 1 national MW station and countless local radio stations. Jules' show is on radio 1 - which is certainly not the most listened to of the bbc national radio stations - radio 2 is.

Jules' - if you look at his t/ls they dont change much at all for months on ends - he doesnt play old classics - the majority of the tracks he plays are about 5 months old

Jules has no idea what the crowd wants - he plays e cheese clubs like BCM in MAGALUF - then bores the hell outa most of the clubbers in the decent clubs.

The man comes on of the back off a brilliant 2 hour uplifting set and plays Tomcraft - Lonliness. Also, as someone said on here before - he ruined Rank 1 - awakening by playing a justing timberlake accapella over it - wtf is wrong with this man?

Yet you call it techno and listen to jules? - go you...

About 5 of us know where he lives - we've stocked up on sharp knives and are booking a taxi - care to join us?

I still have yet to hear him up a mix-- I must be downloading some bootleg mixes that someone improperly labeled. Sorry matey.

His radio show plays a classic tune every week. And when he performed in Columbus he played Underworld-Born slippy and Brainbug-Nightmare. I see what you're saying though-- after a track is 5 months old I think it should be burned with all the others. Sieg Heil HITLER!

I didn't see any bored clubbers in the whole place. Again-- we must be talking about the wrong person again, are you sure you're refering to Judge Jules?

Jules likes to experiment n try new things. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't-- this goes with all experimenting. This is obviously something you find unfavorable. However, I'm sure you can find plenty of other djs out there that are unoriginal enough for you to like.

Well there aren't all that many jules sets around because he's pretty unpopular. I would think you wouldn't have much knowledge of good mixing skills if you think jules is the best 'techno' dj in the world.

As i said, it may be the largest broadcaster in the world - but thats because of its international news radio - in the uk local commercial stations generally have more listeners - and out of the bbc radio fm stations radio 1 is behind radio 2 and possibly radio 4 in listeners.

And you don't have a reply to my saying that his show is commercial free, eh?

No, i did not say that after 5 months a track should be burned. I also do not believe Hitler is famous for burning trance tracks once they are over 5 months old :conf:
The point is he is very plays tracks months after they have been played by better djs such as Armin, Ferry, PVD or even Tiesto :p

Yes, judge jules - man who needs to make up a name and throw out horrible catchphrases to make himself seem more interesting.

I should think if i lived in ohio and had no access to djs playing good music then i might be excited by Jules. Either that or its just a e club with cheeseheads in it.

Jules is one of the most unoriginal djs i know of. For a dj of his fame he has done very little original production - and as such he only usually plays his own stuff. Other djs such as Armin, Ferry etc play lots of their own productions/remixes etc.

I know enough about mixing to know that it doesn't take a lot of skill to beat match n fade out of one song and into another-- like what Ferry Corsten does the entire set. I also have told you repeatedly that I was using "techno" in a general sense. Don't bring it up again.

All I said was that BBC is the biggest radio station in the world. You just reinforced my arguement by agreeing with that statement. I thought that the BBC would have commercials, but they didn't air them over the internet--which is the only way I can listen to his show.

I used the Hitler reference to display how your thinking is similar to that of the National Socialist party.

He's a radio dj, they have to talk-- unlike tiesto, ferry AvB or PVD. I bet they'd have some good material if they had a radioshow because everything they touch is golden n they rule with their AMAZING TRACKLIST n sweet ass mixing skillz. *sarcasim

No ohio doesn't have the best club scene, but they do have broadband internet n I can download all the dj sets I want. So I'm probably right on track with you brits when it comes to the new tunes. I've also seen several videos and I've never seen someone as charismatic as Jules.

Alright, well thats your opinion and it would be insane for me to try argue aganist it. However I was refering to his mixing because he is a dj before he is a producer.

You seriously think that jules is superior to ferry as a dj?

Techno is not used in a general sense - other than by cheese loving jules fans..... ummmm...

The BBC NEWS WORLD SERVICES IS - radio 1 is not.

Hitler hated bad djs also?$!

Armin has a radio show, which is far superior to jules - ferry is getting one. And yes, armin actually bothers mixing more than 2 tracks in a row.

I really can't be bothered to argue with you anymore - rest assured that if anyone else could be bothered to flame you then they would - only its not worth it - in a few months when you bother to download a set by someone other than jules you'll no doubt realise what tripe it is - and have to change your name on here to avoid flaming>$?!
