Jules' is playing at Bass Station this week

Just to let you all know that i'm playing in the DJ comp at Bass Station this week. Its round one of the heats (there 3) and then the final after that.
Venue: Bass Station @ ZOS Nightclub (Chapel Steet mate)
Date: This Friday 11.04.03
Set: 1.15am-2.00am
It would be great to have all the support of the Melbourne TA's. I will be playing my usual uplifting style but with a bit of harder stuff too, as this is primarily a hard trance club (for those that didnt know). Cheers... Jules
PS. I will have the vinylwarning volume one cd on me for those that are interested, mixed by myself and Reemo. :) |

just curious... how hard are you likely to spin cos i know steve was directed to do similar at Kandy and he did a fantastical job of finding that happy medium.

| its good, cos I like my harder stuff too so I try to mix it up in a set like that, trance, tech-trance and then the harder stuff. I did this at Hard Kandy vs. Rebirth when I played with Nexus and I think it worked really well. It is hard cos you have to play a sound that people go there to hear but try to educate them in other music to. I always try to throw in some big tranciers like GTR, Pulse, Warrior etc. Hope everyone can come down, if I go through (fingers crossed) it will allow these the punters to hear some different sounds (besides hard trance). agreed. i was there that night and i thought all 3 trance djs (you, steve and stuey rowe) did an awesome job in adapting to the audience. i hope the judges take this into consideration as it's not easy to captivate a crowd in the manner in which you guys had to do.
i hope the crowd are as accomodating towards you as at rebirth cos that way at least you'll have fun. which all that matters i think. :) |
