How can people be forgetting Voltron???? And yes 80's cartoons were the ! Is it just me or were 80's cartoons a lot more serious? You weren't treated like a kid, there were people dying and . Like Optimus Prime or snake eyes(he died right)! Plus in shows like robotech or voltron you had WHOLE planets dying! When did cartoons get to be so gay (no offense)??? They're all bright, none of them are serious, and nobody dies!!! It's like they're all playing laser tag now rather than battling for life and death.

I'm pretty sure go-bots came after transformers.

Anyone remember shirt-tails? gummy bears? snorks? pac-man the cartoon? muppet babies? M.A.S.K.!!??

But nothing beats the original Warner Brothers cartoons that were a few minutes long. You know, with like Bugs and Daffy and ? That stuff was funny!

Over here in Germany we had the Mickey Mouse comics. Me and my brothers collected like crazy - but only until 1984, everything 1985 and "younger" was not imaginative any more.

Hmmm... I used to play a lot with the Starwars toys back then... the X-Wing, AT-ATs and stuff.

Really big over here were toys like LEGO and Playmobil.
From a year of living in DC in 1994 I remember, that my little "brother" (worked as aupair) played a lot with LEGO, too.

Electrical trains were big in the ´80s here, too.
