Is it plagiarism when you use your own work?
My poli sci teacher is using the same assignment as last semester (different course). The assignment is to write a letter to a local politician that explains your concerns for a certain issue.
I figure that I can use the same letter from last semester, I got 100% on it.
Good idea? :) |

It IS considered plagiarism unless you cite the ENTIRE letter as one originally written by you the prior year. |

i stole an essay for my 8th grade final in biology and passed. (i altavista'd "free essays/ term papers")
unfortunately, someone else was "caught."
the final consisted of writing a report, but we also had to give a 3min presentation and during this guy's presentation (i think it was on Tigers or something retarded like that) one of the other students was "wait, you stole that off Encarta!" nobody really like him cus he was an idiot, so i don't know if it was a joke or not
anyways, found this on Digg Today:

Thanks, but they have programs that detect those things automatically now. College is no joke, they kick you out.
I'm talking about using my own work. I guess I'm not going to do it now, but I'm still using the same issue, because it's still a hot topic. |

my math teacher said cheating is liable to getting you arrested. and he says he's caught someone cheating through "impersonation", held them in class until SDPD picked them up. any truth? |

I honestly don't know. In high school, I've seen people get suspended for a week because of plagiarism, but nothing more.
I've never cheated in my life, I bull, though. :) |

Political Science.... (sigh)
My government teacher... He always uses examples from his personal experiences to express ideas about power of city, public interest and other such insignificant tid bits of POLS info.
He tried opening this strip club here in town, recently cuz I remember hearing people's opionated gossip about it. It never got opened mind the fact that i live in Bible Thumper central USA and city officials around here definitely arn't gonna support such "obscenity".
NeWayz that bitch!
