khakis and a polo from like lacost? :wtf:

i am wondering if its only the rednecks in georgia who think that is getting "dressed up" or not. usually when we get a presentation from a speaker he comes dressed like that. and when a professor asks us to dress nice for a presentation... half of the guys show up like that.

so.. what are your thoughts?

I'd say it's kinda dressed up.

what does this mean? dress pants, jacket and a shirt?

i'd consider that business casual, as long as the polo is tucked in and the khakis are nice and wrinkle-free, along with a nice belt and nice shoes. if you're going to do the minimum to look "professional" it at least should be a nice looking outfit and now thrown together like you wear a t-shirt and jeans.

also, there's different levels of dressiness depending on the situation. getting dressed up for a work meeting and getting dressed up for a wedding might be 2 entirely different things. you just kind of have to assess the situation and figure out what's appropriate.
