And it's on the Level 3 route, and gets 100% each stage.

I couldn't even beat the Great Commander in Stage 6, and this guy straight rapes the whole game...:nervous:

tool-assited = cheating

watch his health bar in the first level and there are tons of times where he is hitting and not getting shield damage... also turbo on the buttons

fun to watch, but not that great a feat.

Holy shield hack, Batman! :eyespop:

Tool-Assisted Speed runs (TAS) are some of the greatest ways to watch video games being completed. I don't consider it cheating at all. It's more a matter of programming than pure skill. It takes a lot of planning and logic to be able to beat these games the way some people do. Every frame is calculated to be perfect, and the game is slowed down frame by frame so that every single move is the best possible move to be made.

I am a huge fan of speed runs, I have followed a lot of them. The ones you guys posted are great, but check out my favorites! :p

Contra 3: The Alien Wars (13 minutes, 3 seconds)

My favorite, Super Metroid (39 minutes, 32 seconds)

Another favorite, Mega Man X2 (31 minutes, 42 seconds)

Here is a list of Tool-Assisted runs by game system. Check them out, but DEFINITELY check out the ones I posted! :D

I'm a huge fan of the Mario 1 runthrough. I was good, but goddamn this guy was AWESOME.

edit: and this was IMPOSSIBLE

Omega, you beat this game, no?

I couldn't get past Dracula, even with game genie

I've only got that far like once. I used the in-game save when I fought him. But when I saved I was standing too close to him, so every time I started I died instantly :(

I did watch more closely, and you can clearly see that he does hit one of the walls at 1:08 and does take damage. So he's clearly not invincible in the game. But I don't doubt that it is set to turbo.

That Mario 64 one is bull :stongue:

I haven't played any of the new Mario games for the wii, but Mario 64 is my favorite Mario game ever and possibly the best game ever on N64 along with Goldeneye.

@ ziptnf. I prefer Red Scarlet's non-TAS (non-Tool Assisted) Super Metroid speed run, done on the SNES not on an emulator.

Was the world record for a very long time, but I can't remember who beat her time: 100% Items collected, 55 Minutes...

Dude, I'm a huge Red Scarlet fan, I used to post on the metroid 2k2 forums, or whatever it was. She's amazing, I have no idea how she can play that fast. She looked like a ing tool-assisted run as it was.
