...of hearing about 9/11 every 5 damn minutes? :wtf: yes, it was a tragic day. yes, many people lost their lives, but i sometimes get the feeling that we americans just LOVE feeling sorry for ourelves and getting sympathy. personally, i've had enough. it's time to get on with our lives.

p.s. - i am in no way downplaying the events of september 11th, so please don't flame me

I am. Don't forget that more people in the US died on 9/11 from causes unrelated to terrorism than died in the attacks.

I agree, I feel really bad what about happend but america should clean up those s taliban people man god knows what those taliban people do to there women, And did you know that when the Taliban was running the country nobody was allowed to music and when they did they got put in jail and beaten on.

it's not so much the average american as it is the MEDIA that's responsible for literally bombarding us with images and references to 9-11...its become a big media thing and thats all...i bet they're praying and hoping for another terrorist attack so they can make even more money from the coverage...

heh, and the funny thing is, they never stop talking abt it, then turn around and take a "poll", asking ppl. how often they think of 9-11 every day...bah...wtf do u expect when u CONSTANTLY read/hear/and watch stuff pertaining to that tragic day...

this is true, but then again...the media puts out what the public wants to hear and/or see. if we all turned off our television sets and our radios, and stopped suscribing to the newspaper, i have a feeling they would change what gets broadcast and published. now, how many americans would do that? not too many. why not? because the american public eats this kind of bs right up.

if Tiesto14 was here he would be tearing his hear out and flaming u to death!

But he's not here, so carry on ;)

Yes I am getting kind of sick of it too. It was a horrible and tragic event, but peoples faux patriotism and over mentioning of it is really driving me crazy. Yeasterday I got bored and flipped on espn, all they had on was sept 11th material, ok no big deal, flip to fox sports, nothing but 9-11 stuff, flip to mtv nothing but 9-11 stuff, go to watch the simpsons nothing but 9-11 stuff. Its really out of hand. My freind went to a baseball game yeasterday and said they spend over an hour doing tribute type stuff. Like I said it was(is) a tragic event, but when its talked about so often, it looses its meaning, and just becomes flat out annoying.

i get sick of hearing about it for a whole year, non-stop and you tell me to shut the hell up when i decide to voice my opinion about how sick i am of the american public whining about it? bah.

sothis
i was kind of annoyed yesterday..

i am always in this irc room for anime, a certain fansubbing group's irc room... well, one of the guys who is basically in charge of the fansubbing group, hes from new york... so he decided to make the channel to where NO ONE could talk.. for AN ENTIRE DAY in honor of 9-11.

yanno, id understand a minute.. 10 minutes.. hell, maybe even an hour of silence. but shoving 24 hours down everyones throat?? (this channel has usually over 1000 people in it, from around the world)

i dunno, that put a bad taste in my mouth and was annoying as hell.

was tired hearing from it, one week later. imagine my cynism after a year.
