• Recoverworld are one of the leading lights in the dance world with a string of record releases and successful events under their belt and they are all set to release their second label album – Subculture – mixed by two of the pioneers of the dance world, namely K90 and John O’Callaghan.
• Recoverworld Live does what it says on the tin, reflecting the kind of sound you’d expect to hear on one of the Recoverworld Live nights, and features the crème de la crème of recent releases on the label, alongside exclusive tracks coming later this year.
What do you get when you get two of Hard Dance and Trance’s hottest producers and DJs, mix in some classic anthems, a sprinkle of new productions and put it out on a brand synonymous with quality and innovative sound? Recoverworld Volume 2 – Subculture. And the DJs in question? Hard Dance’s darling K90, and Trance’s superkid John O’Callaghan.
This album showcases them as representatives of the Recoverworld label group. Both cds are a combination of their own productions mixed together with tracks that represent their own personal sound. Naturally, there are more than a fair share of tracks from the Recoverworld label - and why not - they produce some of the best tunes on the scene, but these nestle nicely in between epic anthems and remixes from the likes of Rank 1, Public Domain and ATB.
The first cd is mixed by Mark Doggett aka K90 who is one of Hard Dance’s most highly respected producers, as well as a live performer and DJ in his own right. His fan base touches many countries around the world, and he has performed at scores of the world’s premier dance events.
Credited for his numerous productions, releases and remixes K90 is responsible for creating the clubland phenomenon that is 'Red Snapper' - one of the most renowned hard dance tracks ever made!
The second cd is mixed by John O Callaghan, who for someone so young is far advancing many of his peers in their studio and DJing talents and is attracting the praise and acclaim of some of the biggest names in the dance music world. Having performed across many of the underground trance clubs, John is now making his impact at some of the biggest nights in the UK with his unique brand of tech infused trance sets.
His production work is being heralded as some of the most forward thinking music to come from the genre in recent years, with releases on such labels as Armada and United as well as his “home” label Discover. Top this off with a distinct DJing style that shifts from deeper proggy-edged affairs, through the realms of the purest trance, and on to pumping tech-edged pounders and with fans from throughout the industry such as Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Buuren, there just seems to be no stopping him.
