Brian and I loved Victor's set! We got there around 1:30, Craze was onstage playing breaks. Victor was worried that they werent going to like him. i assured him that its very common in Tampa to have a breaks dj open for a trance dj, and to play what he plays and that they will love him. The crowd started to thin out around 2:30, which further worried him so i told him that Floyd's gets a second wind around 3:30 when all the ybor-ites arrive, and that it'll get packed. Victor hit the decks at 3:00, making a smooth transition from craze's last track into a cool proggy track by Filo & Peri. He built his set up into really awesome pumping epic trance, incorporating some great classics. The club had gotten packed at around 3:30, and the dance floor became alive with energy. They were really digging Victor's music and his interaction with the crowd. He played until 6:00, and there were still people dancing at the end. His track selection, mixing, and energy was spot on. We had seen him play at Spundae in LA before, and knew that he'd rip Tampa a new one;-)
now about floyd's drink prices and weak drinks... gggrrr!!!!
kiss,
suzy
ps - Vic's set from last night was recorded and will be aired on his XM radio show in the future.
