music w/ a "crowd"

what do u all think of tracks that have a "Built in" crowd?

u know....tracks that whenever it gets into a certain part of the song, in the background, you hear a roaring crowd.

it's pretty common in hard house
when played live, it helps and can pump up the live crowd even more
i don't have many of those records, not really a fan of them myself
but i have seen it work to the djs benefit

L.O.S.P. - the sound of liberty

this track uses the crowd really well in the break down with a dirty 3/4 beat pattern. It works well in harder genres and make the corwd get all excited. I like them myself, as long as its subtle

I really hate them! they totally ruin it i reckon. I suppose they MIGHT at times be ok for a live set, if the crowd gets into it. But for a mix tape no go! luckily i have no songs with that crap built into it. My friend does and he seems to like it but, so everyone has their opinions.

Yes yes, I have a few records like that!
Like Starsplash - Rainbow in the Sky, Mass Medium - Mindblower, etc.

I think if you're recording a mixed CD, as I usually do, it can make things interesting to the home listener

Kerncraft 400 - Zombie Nation (Chant Mix)

I hate tracks with a crowd in the background.
