Ripping cd's

How do i rip a liveset from a cd when it's divided up in tracks?

Can you do it directly or do i have to rip all the tracks and put them together as one big mp3.

It depends on how you encode your mp3. If your encoder allows you to record any sound directly to mp3, just play the CD and let the computer record it into an mp3 file. But, if you need to create a wave file first, here's what I do. I use one of those wave editors and create a huge wave file long enough so the whole set will be recorded. Then, I play the set and record it. Later on, I encode it to mp3. As simple as that.

Do not create try to unite different wave files: when you decode from wave to mp3, every intermission will have a brief annoying pause and it'll take ages for you to delete all of them

Not really, it's just about recording it to wav and getting the pieces together. If the tracks are on an audio CD, it'll be very easy: just record it directly from your CD to wave and you'll get what you want.

However, if all you have are several mp3 files, you'll need to be a little patient

Goldwave.... look for it in one of those download sites. It's a very good programme (in fact, it's my favourite audio editor).
