I ran a search for funk guitar, in the hopes to find a vst that emulates the sound perfectly, or maybe a good single note sample pack. I found the big VST thread, but hat's too big to start searching with a slow connection (I went over my upload limit, so it goes slow for a couple of days ).
Could someone help me out and give some tips/samples/vst names ?

Or, alternatively, you could search for it yourself within that thread by searching in the box at the bottom called "Search within this thread"

i could sample notes from my guitar . .
i've been playing for 8+ years, and can record at pretty high quality.
will cost money however
you quote a price, and what you want record, in a PM message to me, and i will tell you if it's fair or not

or here is a more cost efficient method...
Get the Ticky Clav by Big Tick (free VST)... Add some flange/chorus/distortion and you have a passable decent sounding funk sound... although it doesn't sound 100% guitarish but it's funky enough ..
