Sound quality is a lot worse than the original Pioneer DJM-600.

This has been discussed various times. The FX on the behringer are useless, sound quality isn't like on the 1000 dollar mixers, and... I think that's it for the bad points. Everything else works well, and it's a great buy for 200 dollars.

It breaks down. Theres a chance that you might get lucky, and have no problems, but theres a higher chance that it will be a waste of money. Besides, its not often that a person who NEEDS four channels will be looking into buying a cheap mixer. Buy a good 2 channel mixer.

Breaks down? I've had mine since October without any technical problems whatsoever. You don't own a DJX700, and judging by the title of the thread, you don't count.

Well i dont have the 700 but i own a behringer mixer, it was a allright mixer for starting it but there is problems such as leaking between channels and one of my phon lines cut out, but then again this is after a year and everything besides that works fine, theres some useless things such as the "surround sound" effect or whatever it is on it whcih dosent do anything as far as i can tell, but the eq's are great they have a good ammount of kill on each of em and the crossfader works well even though i use the y faders. anyways remember thats not on a 700 so it might not be as accurit

I own a Pioneer DJM-600k, which was an upgrade from DJX-700. The DJX-700 licks balls in terms of sound quality and crossfaders start leaking after a few months of using regularly...

Please do not tell me what i own, and what i dont own. I did own a behringer djx700 because i saw it, it was cheap, 4 channels, and effects. Took it back to the store at the end of the week because it sounded like shit, and the 3rd channel upfader wasnt working straight out of the box. Since then i strongly considered buying a vestax pcv 275, but instead have decided to wait to buy a dnx1500. (right now im borrowing a friends used djm 300 until i get the dnx1500.)

Its nice that you are happy with your purchase, but i think its more likely that youre fooling yourself, because you wouldnt want to think that you made a poor decision. If you honestly think its a good mixer, then thats great, thats your opinion. Just as my opinion is mine. Just dont tell me that i "dont count" because i wasnt fooled into beleiving that this mixer suited my needs.

- shit sound quality
- noticable channel leaking
- poor build quality / components which apparrantly often leads to component deteroration / failure
- gets very hot after a few hours use
- inprecise EQs
- useless effects unit (certain effects work at particular BPMs which you cannot alter, most of which are ~120-130 BPM)
- made in china

my friend bought one for cheap parties...instead of beating on a pioneer mixer he has...it's absolute crap..you could tell the quality of the mixer by the actual weight when you compare the two...the pioneer is at least 3 to 4 times heavier than the beringer..there's a reason too...there's more instruments inside the pioneer for one...also,there is more accuracy with a pioneer mixer...especially the effects...all the effects on the beringer are not even usable or at least manageable..half the time, you cant tell what effect you're using cause its either too low or too distorted on the output..BUT if you're looking for a basic mixer with EQs...its not bad...bottomline..
you get is what you pay for

the x1500 (denon) is a good alternative. Its cheaper than the djm600, and better.
