Arros - Suicide EP (progressive techno trance)

Hey Folks,

I made two new tunes last weeks... I wanna present them to you, I would like to get some feedback on the tracks. Both are made with Reason 2.5...

Arros - Jump The Roof

Progressive trance track with a funky techy catch, did some filtering on the beats and bass for the break...

Arros - Jump The Roof (112kbps Sample, 04:12, 3.5MB)

Arros - Take The Stairs

Progressive track with tribal influence, not satisfied with the bassline yet...

Arros - Take The Stairs (192kbps Sample, 04:19, 6.2MB)

again, reactions welcome!

sounds nice
well produced, good steady beats in both tracks
not really my niche of music, though i especially liked 'take the stairs'. got a deep funk too it

overall, i can imagine that this is quality dancefloor stuff
neat producing

Hey Remy,

As you know I like "take the stairs" I still love the long fx that announces the climax, the rhythm is nice and funky, the melody is simple but very catchy the overall sound could use some tweaking imo, as you know.

"Jump the roof" started off really cool, nice percs, nice guitar (?) very funky. I think you the use of such a sawtooth (comes in at the break) doesn't fit very well. The use of the sinus tone is nicely done, spacyyy.

greetz and keep it up!

Ramón

thanx for the feedback... about that Jump The Roof track, I heard more comments on that sawtooth coming in at the end of the break, and I take it's not very suitable for the track... I might change it

really liked Take the Stairs.

great percussion. i think good percussion decides make or break on most tracks.

i did think the filtering on the bass/synth build up started off too low. seemed a bit lifeless. but when it came up it was great (i was wearing a big cheesy grin & noddin away to myself )

nice work.

not listened to the other one yet. 112kbps

thanx for the comments... the filtering on the bass/synth i think you mean just at the start from the break... I've been working on that... I'll post an update ASAP

Jump the roof i find it a bit repetative, it needs more edits , also yes that saw does not fit very well.

take the stairs

nice begin, perc seem cool also, kick needs some punch
i dig that bass kinda lead, very dark and should do in the club.
Some string/pad/choir would work in this as well, try to add something like that it doesn't have to stand out.

Both tracks have a nice dark feel, and the name suicide sure fits then .

Jump Of the Roof is kindda cool. The guitar fits well put some effects and panning could be used on it. The tune needs more percussions to fill the empty spaces and on the climax a harder hi-hat (a ride). Why does the bass sound like is on stereo separation? . The tune is pretty good overall

Will hear Take the Stairs later...

I still have some probs with the bass yes, it's rather deep and sub so low-end speakers dont give the accurate result of it.. Percussion wise it could be better (crashes, cymbals etc)... thanx for the feedback!

Thanx for the feedback, I shall try to add more SFX/etc to the track
