It has been really dry around here. The only thing I can guess is just take a look around. Maybe it's because I'm in the 30+ range now but....here's what I see:
1. big name DJ's charge a lot of money these days and it would seem that since avg. attendance is dwindling (ok, not counting like PVD on NYE), sounds like a risk for the club.
2. Let's face it, unless you work for Apple or Google, you're probalby not earning more in N. Califorinia than you did 5 years ago, yet costs are going up. Gas, food, drinks, cover charges, travel expenses, housing. It's reality, but it sucks.
3. I have a hard time convincing people to go out. Mostly because it can get rather expensive these days, or because people are tired of 1015, Ruby Skye, etc.
4. A lot of the younger people around here these days tend to listen to hip hop (it seems, I am talking about the majority, not people here on TA abviously!). Seems like all the newer smallish lounge/clubs are all hip hop or loungy house crap.
When it comes down to it, I am more likely to have fun at a trance event outside the bay area, with the exceptionm of special events like Love Parade, etc, which when are ON....they're ON.
ok, sorry to hijack the thread. I'd love to see Marco V if I can get my ass down there that weekend!!!
