I disagree. I'm deeply enamoured with my fiancée but it doesn't prevent me from asking myself what love means when I'm in a more philosophical state of mind. Or, in a more absurd conclusion, only those yet to be born would ask about the meaning of life, for they're the only ones that don't know it yet

This being said, "friendship" is hardly a monolithic word with just one meaning (Aristotle had a very incipient but enlightening typology of friendship, for example). There are several kinds of friendship, and I'll talk about them after I come back from uni tonight.
