a lot was already said, so i'll just add my $0.02...

i thought the sound system was awful for edgar v. i couldn't hear anything! i know it was tweaked for paul, but you would think it would sound better than that for edgar.

WAY TOO PACKED at the beginning. i was 'human sandwiched' more times than i'd like to remember. a lot of people were pretty rude about walking by and pushing and shoving - awful. but there were a few that were courteous and as always, it was greatly appreciated.

we're all in the same situation, why make it worse???

on to paul's set...i thought 2-4am was awful. he played some really great tracks that i was looking forward to hearing, but the flow was really off and i just couldn't get into it. the crowdedness may have had something to do with it, but i really think it was paul.

from ~4am on he was incredible, playing tracks that you can't possibly stand still to. the dance floor cleared out a bit, and we all started to have a really good time. buenaventura was MASSIVE. i will forever love that track, especially live!

around 6am we moved towards the front of the dance floor and enjoyed the rest of the morning dancing our asses off and loving every great track. umer + your gf (sorry, i didn't catch her name), dom, rory - you guys made the last 2 hours so much fun!!

highlights of the night (there were so many, but i'll keep it to 3):
buenaventura
Steve Agnello & Sebastian Ingrosso - Yeah
Gerry Cueto - Messages (PvD edit) (i never imagined it could be so good live)

cons:
- the crowd (until ~4am)
- soundsystem
- STROBE LIGHTS. there should be a warning outside the club: caution, excessive stobe lights! they were making me so dizzy and gave me the worst headache. it was so painful...

I will agree about the crowd - all it takes is a little tap on the shoulder if you want to get by. Unfortunately, simply pushing by seems as thought it's becoming the norm.
I thought the sound was fine for PVD - much better than IKON on New Years - that was downright painful.
As far as the stobes - that's why I rocked the aviators

Ikon was way too loud, my ears hurt for days afterwords. The strobe lights were a little blinding -- I was happy to be wearing sunglasses and earplugs.

I was fine during and after IKON. Crobar so far, is the only club to have killed my ears. IKON is and was great. You guys just like to bitch.

I do concur - I was not impressed with IKON...
Crobar is by far the superior venue...

I put it on hold for a bit to do the remix and cuz i ran out of ideas as well.

That had to be the best night of my life btw, Paul is great, we got to joke around a bit.

I agree that IKON's sound is the worst. My head was ringing for days. Crobar is still not the sound I was hoping it would be. While Edgar was on it was ok to be turned down a bit cuz he was still the opener. Once Paul came on it sounded amazing. But you can always tell how crisp the sound is when you leave and feel your head ringing for the next day or so which mine definately was. So far the only venues to NOT make my head hurt that are still around now are SPIRIT (Which owns over everywhere) and ROXY. Next time I go to CROBAR I will have my shades again cuz them lights are Ridic! and I will have some ear plugs as well. That is all!
