yup

I voted Bob Barr

at least when Obama wins and we go into tax-and-spend liberal policies, we won't have a president who wants to spend another ten years in Iraq. (Although I believe that Obama now favors an indefinite time table instead of a hard and fast date). I think Obama will have good foreign policy though - it will be refreshing to not see a Republican in that aspect.

And Obamania makes me sick

Honestly my dream team would be McCain * Romney. but w/e I deal with what I am dealt with

IMO, putting Mccain in office is just more fodder for anti-american hatred and sentiment around the world. The last 8 years have shown what blowback can do and if the average american knew the actual history of their government's meddling in other countries affairs then they'd have a better understanding/respect of other cultures -- and they'd stand a greater chance of not allowing themselves to be subservient drones/victims of 'fear'.

This whole 'war on terror' is ingenius - it's like the 'war on drugs' - it'll never end -- and so much of American identity is based around war/victory that it will always be an election issue. If everything was truly about freedom/democracy then Americans would focus more on domestic issues -- you know, all the stuff they preach about... 'freedom' -- where is it? (Wiretapping/patriot act/guantonomo/waterboarding/etc.) wtf?

Obama won't fix all that is broken, but, at least see that a candidate that unifies the population is much more of what the USA needs right now.

Aren't our troops getting kicked out at the end of 2011 anyway?

Last that I heard, that deal was not yet finalized, but it's getting damn close to becoming written in stone.

I think Getting Obama in there is a step in the right direction for saving face to the rest of the world. Traveling abroad...I'm afraid to say I'm from America

It has more to do than just traveling. America used to be able to do what it wanted in terms of foreign affairs, but their power has become significantly reduced across the world. So many countries are sporting a big middle finger and pretty much saying , "What are you going to do about it? That's right nothing." (Russia being the biggest). If the United States wants to keep an active role as one of the more powerful countries in terms of foreign affairs matters, it has to do something to fix it's image.

Americans in general (this is only my opinion) have always had a sense of entitlement and a general feeling that they do not need anyone's help when wanting to accomplish something that reaches outside of its borders. Those days are over, and the reality is they need this support.

The US needs to do what's best for the country and its citizens, not what the rest of the world wants us to do or what they feel about us.
Electing someone simply because you think it will improve the country's perception and reputation around the world instead of actual issues involving the well being of its citizens is completely asinine. Again, not taking any sides here.

Honestly want to know why I vote the way I do?

All 500 or the basic ones.

I don't like blacks - low life blacks and will forever vote the opposite of them because I have nothing in common with them.

I don't live off the government.

I don't like DEMS on their stance with Cuba.

I don't like how rude DEMS are and they can't ever fuking let people (who don't think like them) just be.

I am American and proud of it.

I think anyone who fights for this country has more of a right to run this country than a stupid black man who preaches like hes MLK.

So basically what you're saying is that it's stupid to stereotype Republicans but stereotyping blacks and Democrats is not?

You live in a world where foreign affairs are very important. What are you living in the 1800s?

And improving the image of the country around the world, decreasing the hatred some cultures have for the US, and therefore preventing buildings and embassies getting blown to shit, killing many innocent people is not in "the country and its citizens" best interest?

Just sayin'
