Can someone tell me how the hell Wolf Creek got a R18+ Rating?

There is no scene in this movie that even remotely qualifies for this rating, it's MA15+ tops.

I'm sure Saw 2 had just as much gruesome scenes in it, maybe even more.

I liked this movie but scenes i would have directed much differently, there was no realism in some scenes.

Overall good movie which could have been better.

Best movie I've probably seen this year - Little Fish. Hugo Weaving is phenomenal in this.

Worthwhile mentions that I've caught over the last two weeks
Thumbsucker and ShopGirl. Who knew Steve Martin explored thematic terrains outside The Three Amigoes!

We went to see Saw 2 last night... easily just as fucked up as the first.
Was able to watch most of it, except for one part of the game which involved something I can't stand even at the best of times

I liked it tho, left plenty of opening for part 3.

king kong.

i was expecting a bit more to be honest. or maybe a bit less. a bit less shit.

the scenes with the monkey were great for the most part. really enjoyed the monkey stuff. but some of the dialogue was just awful, and im much more a fan of show and not tell. the black guy in the film was a cool character, but his lines were like \'oooh, lets fill in the blank for the audience\'.

in recent months ive really begun to respect lucas\' ability with special effects, coz i find many movies look a bit ordinary in this regard. kong looked great but some of the other scenes were obviously blue-screened.

what was top-notch was the amount of scenes with little or no dialogue (kong obv not an english specialist) but had so much more meaning & romanticism without it. the musical score was more than enough to fill these scenes and adds to my argument that all the best scenes in movies have the best accompanying tunes.

3 simians out of 5.

Sounds good pkc, but you're still an asshole. I'm going to see kong in a couple of weeks regardless of what you think

Oh and looking forward to Underworld: Evolution. yeah baby

i liked it. just didnt love it. im getting old; it takes more than just a cool concept or setting to make a movie great for me these days. im tired of re-hashed action sequences or paper-thin plots. i want meaning and emotion as well as aesthetically pleasing fight scenes. *thinks of the matrix sequels and rolls eyes*

Sin City definitely rocks. Need to pick up the DVD.

Fun with Dick & Jane... better than I expected.
Harry Potter 3... too long, and they cut out DOBBY!
The Lion, the Witch & The Wardrobe... good, but could have been better. Re-sparked interest in the books though which is a good thing.
