last week some little girl got shot in the head too on our transit system. same bus my mom takes home from work everyday. two guys pulled out guns on the bus and started firing hit the little girl in the head. she was 11 years old

If he'd used a knife it wouldn't be such big news, which is a shame. Makes you wonder how much you can trust the place where you get all your information aout the world(the media).

I mean everyday there has to be news, so thats why stories like this get blown up(tragic as they are). We form opinions based upon what they tell us so even a slight amount of skew in the reporting fucks up our view of the world and as such our opinions, And we all know that bad news is a big seller. That's why we have the tendancy to have a higher percived risk of most bad things, because only the bad stuff is decent news we'll watch really.
