I had this convo on another board and after trying many suggestions came to the conclusion that Traktor DJ Studio is by far the best for live DJ'ing.

As dj willie whop said, at first it may seem like a Childs toy, but when you get to work with it properly you realise how powerful and useful it is.

I agree that Traktor is by far the best, I tried all the other software, but I was really impressed with what Traktor can do. Was really had to work with it when I started, now I can make profeesional sounding mixes.

Just got traktor, looks like a great program, but I havn't used anything more complex than mixmeister before, and that was more of a pre-record program... Does anyone know a good tutorial on how to mix live with Traktor?

the thing about mixing mp3s that most people dont realize is that it does take skill... and knowledge about how a vinyl/cd dj works... ive been using traktor for about a week now, finally getting some very nice results... but i have noticed that their auto beat matching is definitely not the most accurate... but ill definitely live to see decks of my own now
