'Halloween' has always been the scariest movie for me.
That emotionless Shatner mask just scares the crap out of me. Combine that with the whole silent, unstoppable, psychotic killer theme and....yeah, scary.

I don't know what it was about the Exorcist, but I just wasn't that scared. I could see how it would be terrifying in its time, but most of the people that I have watched it with have just been bored. Once again, todays horror audience wants more scares less story.
