I am going with GEOS... their interview process really tested my endurance.... but I hope i end up in a big city with a decent music and club scene... even if I do end up in a small town i'll make the most of it... one of my good friends is currently teaching in Korea. i think she is switching to Japan...and I forget what she said she's doing about a visa! I will ask her sometime and let you know

i suggest that you speak with the Japanese diplomatic mission in Korea, or just contact Masae Sato, who works at the Japanese embassy here in Canada (info & culture section). [email protected] ...That is the easiest and best way to get the information and help you need. They always help me out!

I taught English in South Korea for a year & a half - I was Meh about it - but I was happy to come back to Canada afterwards - plus on the up side i was rich for the second time in my life!!!!

I may do it again but i would live in downtown Seoul - the first time i lived there i was in Ansan which is about 45 minutes by subway - 20 via car/scooter to Seoul. But all was good - I met some really cool Kiwi's and Aussie's~there - lot's of american soldiers and yada yada yada - drank to much - ate to many carbs - and mcdonalds is considered "home" style food! Broke a tooth, got punched in the eye by a miserable old korean kimchi bad-breathed man and lived to tell the tale. Passed out on korean "ttc" subway for for 7 hours, had my medications held at the border for almost a month, smelt the TERRIBLE polluted air every fukkin day, felt like shit 465/480 - the other 15 day seperateion here was the 2500 flight home for christmas in CANADA.

other then alll those complaints that just abotu covers Korea and what you may encounter while there - or at least that's what i encountered. . .

P.S. they pay for you living and you make at least 2500 CAD a month - if not more, but a green pepper cost abotu 5 dollars CAD! you do the math!

Ya that has been close to my experience. No longer having money worries is nice but....all the other bull shit does not make it worth while. I have to admit i would stay here until i had around 10,000 saved up before i left if my co workers were not such ****s. But.... i cant handle the stress anymore. Money is great but aniexty sucks and well now i have both which i guess is better than only having the latter one.
