try not to over-focus when you're mixing... just put the 2 tracks in your headphones and flow, regardless of breaks, 4/4, etc... just relax and play with the pitch till it sounds good. i mix best when i'm not trying too hard.

you mean when i know I have a tracked matched afte rlike 15-20 seconds but I feel like it needs to be perfect so i keep riding it and waiting for it to drift a little so I can get it perfect and then I end up fucking with it so much I screw it up where I should have just trusted myself after 20 seconds and looked for my next track?

i never do that :

Don't think it in terms of the beats, think it more in terms of 4/4 structure of the track. If you know, what I am talking about, you'll know what I mean.

i think i am going to pull out all of my breaks tracks and try and do an entire set of just breaks.

sort of like golf....if you are having a problem with a specific club, pull it out every chance you get and take it to the range.

I've been mixing nothing but breaks for awhile now. Welcome to the club.
