like many of the not-so-young TAs on here, I grew up with the original Star Wars films which became a sci-fi institution.

The new movies SUCK ASS in comparison. The 1st one was pretty bad...the 2nd one wasn't any better...so I'm skipping the 3rd too until it's on DVD or Rogers, just out of principle.

After seeing the LOTR series, George Lucas should be ashamed of what he's given us (although this one at least looks to be the best of the three).

It's almost as good as the OLD SKOOL SW. It falls a little behind of ....

Just wait until you see it.

For screenings ... they are TUFF with entrying into the theaters. Full metal detectors, seraches and if sometimes your cell phones. (If it's hardcore enuff) While the movie was on, there were six secuirties on the side keeping an eye on the crowd. Incase some fool tries to record a clip or snap shot a scene.

Even though I don't rule out there was a VIP screening for employees of FOX, etc. last night.

LOL I scan my ticket stub on if you want.

All it says ....

Sheppard
Screening: III
May 03 7:00pm
CSH 0.00

Interesting choice, but that's pretty common I'd wager. My rankings are different only slightly.

Empire
Jedi
A New Hope
Clones
Phantom Menace

I have no doubt Sith will be the best of the three prequels. Looking at the trailers and reading short summaries of some of the plot points convinced me of that long ago. But the real trick is if it will fit in or be superior to any of the original films. The distance between the originals and the prequels is a pretty damn big one.

I"ve heard Christopher Lee is in this film for like...5 minutes? FYI, he's the old British guy who fought Yoda in the last one and has the stupid character name of Count Dooku, which is homage to him playing Dracula 50 years ago. Film nerd alert.

Darth Maul was cool...but a big part of the problem in the first two prequels was the lack of a significant villainous presence. Lucas should have either kept Maul around until the end of the last one or introduced Lee's character during Epsidoe 1. Missed opportunity there.
