Some people out there fail to understand that GERMANY was in fact a great team in the cup. You don't need that many goals to win. Germany's way to win was by DEFENSE. Kinda like ITALY, but a little different. Germany's OFFENSE was used only when necessary.

Meanwhile, people tend to like BRASIL more because of their offensive talent alone. Sure their defense is good but I believe Germany's defense is better. Sometimes soccer is won by more DEFENSE or more OFFENSE, or a mix of both. It all depends on the team.

And don't forget, BALLACK didn't play in the finals. The game could have possibly ended up in a nail bitter. But what's done is done. Brasil won and congrats to them. The first ever world cup finals against one another. That's truely amazing!!! I hope to see a rematch of the two teams again. Should be an exiting one.

Both teams have world class players. Sure, Rivaldo's acting against Turkey was uncalled for, but you gotta do whatever you can to win. It was supposed to be the refs call as a dive and Rivaldo receiving at least a yellow card, while the Turkish player still gets his red card, but that's another story.

No offense to you Brasilians out there, but KAKA has got to be the funniest name I have ever heard of. LOL!!! Cheer up guys and enjoy the summer. Let bygones be bygones!!!

Bah ... Brazil ... they only won because they play dirty, they cheat, they dive, they fall over, they waste so much time arguing with the officials whenever a call doesn't go their way.

I know what Zoomp is about to say so I'll say it for him ... yes I know your team won and yes I agree that for pure ball skills the Brazil front 3 are the best in the world. The Brazil defense is a bit average IMO but it got the job done.

My point is, that I used to like watching Brazil because of the raw skill of their players, but the whole spectacle is so spoiled this year because of the childishness and the poor sportsmanship shown by the players. Things like that outrageous episode with Ronaldo vs Turkey, and Ronaldinho standing up and arguing with the ref for so long after he got red carded in the England match ... and how many times did that Rivaldo take a dive in the tournament, even the neutral TV commentators were saying how disgraceful it was.

Don't go and start flaming at 'sore losers' again, I'm more like a neutral observer, my team didn't even get to the WC ... but I am a fan of 'the beautiful game' and it makes me sad to see it brought to that level of ruining the entertainment for the fans of all nations. It has to come back to the discipline the manager shows to the team, I heard that he encourages the players to foul on the opposition as much as they can without getting sent off, that is disgraceful if it's true. I hope Scolari gets sent packing and Brazil can start training to defend their title more in the true spirit of football in 2006.

Peace

Yeah good luck on that one... Brazil will always be driven by spoiled-pussy-child players. These guys have no honor.

well, imo Scolari was 70% of the team, cos he got the team in the worst phase and made they champions, maybe cos he didnt listen to all this bullshit that the media says " encourages to foul on " bla bla.. He believed in Ronaldo when everybody was saying that he was done, he didnt call Romario when EVEN the President wanted it, Scolari owns, and if was possible i'd like to see he at my team!
