Not to say that each plugin isn't amazing, but I'd rather they stuck to a set of a few dozen plugins and continually worked on them, perfecting every last bit rather than constantly trying to one-up their last project. Makes keeping up with them really annoying and pricey.

Holy shit, Alanzo sighting! Good to see you back man

How the fuck did you get all that for half price? At the time, the best plugs were UAD, Waves and the Mackie D8B bundles - the only real contender now left is waves, and they are the only ones that are native.

I wonder if UAD will go that way soon.....

Hey Rann. Yeah, I haven't been on these forums for a while. My punishment was missing out on the Sean Tyas remix competition. :\

Long story short, I got a great deal on a UAD-1 with every plugin up until 2007 ($400). I then bought a UAD-2 Quad when it came with a promo $500 voucher, bought a few more plugins, and THEN I bought about 20 UAD-1e's for $99 each and they came with a $100 voucher... resold the UAD-1es on eBay for my money back, kept the vouchers, plugins acquired (bought them all over the course of several months when they were on sale).

WEll they're still all great plugins. Even the Pulteq emulation is great and they did that a decade ago. I guess it's just a matter of finding your favorite few plugins and then ignoring the rest. I did that myself. Even though I had every plugin at the time, I still only used about 1/3 of them.

Funny enough, I'm thinking of selling my UAD-2 Solo laptop card. I have it running on my PC with a PCI-E adapter which works perfectly so I can switch between laptop and PC with it but I just don't use it anymore.

Got a load of plugins on it over the years but it's just not used any more.

What do you reckon I could get for the card/box/pcie adapter and the following plugs?

1176, DBX160, Fairchild 670, Neve 33609, LA2A, 4k Bus, Cambridge EQ, Neve 1073/1081, Pultec Pro EQ, NEve 88RS, 4k Channel Strip, EMT 140 and Roland RE-201

Thoughts on a postcard?

Couldn't tell ya. Try adding up the retail value of the card and the plugins and cutting it by 30%. If it doesn't sell at that after a couple weeks, go down to 35%. etc.
