WARNING LOOOOOONG POST
first of all for Patticus Dave London spun trance and DJ miss Behavin had a blend of hard trance and hard house. Both sets were pretty freaking good.
Honestly Twisted productions is your best bet for seeing good talent. There by far the most trust worthy company. There could be a million reasons as to why Signum didnt show that wern't twisted's fault. For all we know they missed a flight or somthing. There were 5000 people at this party which made it a complete sell out, like i said my friend had to sneak, so money probably wasnt the reason Signum didnt show.
sweet god people have some freaking faith in your city. The Tronto scene my be bumping right now but it could be dead in two months. up untill about 3 months ago me and my friends were going to partys every weekend......and they were GOOD partys. In under a year here is a VERY short list of some of the talent we saw:
Agnelli & Nelson, John'00'Fleming, Judge Jules, Tim Lyall, Olmec Heads, Ian M, Fergie, Anne Savage, Lisa Lashes, Tidy Boys, Tiesto x 5, riched Mears, Marc et Claude, Lock'n'Load, Les Hemstock, Deep Dish, ollie Jaye x 4, Jon the Dentist x 2, Irish pete, BK, Nick Sentience, and Ed Real
Man these are just off the top of my head and i got a shitty memory plus there are like 100 more i dont feel like typing out. And these DJ's are just Trance and Hard House If your into breaks and D&B then you've probably been in heaven for the last 5 months or so.
Just because the scene is slow right now dosnt mean it will be slow 3 months from now. Honstly what do you all expect. so far right now there are only two legel venues with the capacity need to break even let alone make money for there next partys these venues are Riverside and the PNE Colliseum. If you factor in the fact that the PNE probably cost MINIMUM $70,000 plus the price of about 150 PNE staff working Plus the MASSIVE sound system, Lights, police, and talent. Man thats Hella cash. Man if Azim didnt sell that thing out he would be f****d right now.
Rumor has it that the Plaza of nations will be opening again, this will provide a venue with tons of capacity with a much lower price, plus night clubs are going to be able to stay open till 5am i think. Both of these will give the scene the kick in the ass it needs.
As for Spooky, That was one of the best partys I've been to. EVERYONE was there and it was a kickass social night if anything.....no regrets here.

Seb Fontaine, Paul Oakenfold, Timo Mass......
I understand what you are trying to say. I was only blaming Twisted because is seems way to often promoters promise and don't deliver. He could have come down with the flu for that matter. I am not totally ignorant.
Before the Summer, there was high quality DJ's all the time I could not go a 2 week strech with having to go to a club or a rave. The first half of the year was excellent for Vancouver. But then what happened....
I go to teamhardcore.com and I can't find a huge party anywere. Besides that PVD and Tong tease. That's why I was dissapointed when AMP not having a Sweet gets Wicked. I give Twisted credit they have had some huge partys that I have enjoyed.
As for Spooky6, the line-up was pretty weak for the the amount of money the were charging. No way I would pay mor than 50 bucks for that. Apart from Signum(no showed) they didn't have much to see. I just seemed like they were bringing people from the UK so the people who know less about music than we do think they are huge names. I am not saying they suck, I am just saying just because they are from the UK doesn't mean they are great.
Peace
