I really had respect for PVD's productions from the get go. His sets though never really did it for me. Then last year I saw him at the Cream closing party @ Amnesia in Ibiza. He fucking broke it down.. one of the hardest sets i have heard (from a trance DJ). He sure blew Tiesto away (who played before him that night). I was very impressed. I thought that was his style in Ibiza. Then I saw him again this year at Ultra. FUCK!!! He played twice as hard as he did at Amnesia. The crowd was growing crazy. Now I know why he closes at Ultra. I just hope he plays as hard as he did, when he comes to Toronto. If that is the case, I vow never to miss PVD in Toronto.

tuesday - johan gielen, intimate little venue and really sick beats we tore up the dancefloor until they kicked us out.

wednesday - at some bar on the strip, dave dresden gave us a free tease for an hour...... wow......i couldnt wait to hear the full set on thursday.......later on that night remy/armin/markus....REALLY impressed with club spin, everyone else bitched about it being too loud but i thought it was one of the best sound systems ever......remy and armin rocked it out, i loved every minute of it......markus was good too but he really needs to stop sucking off armin.

Thursday - club rumi w/ Gabriel and Dresden ok wow......this party was increadible.....from the second we walked in until the second we left around 6-7 hours later this duo tore up this upscale/intimate venue. we were dancing on the tables/benches wherever....the girl from motorcycle jumped up on one of the tables and did a live show, it was pretty surreal, the miami bitches were stuck up in this place so i just gave em the pett treatment by stealing one of their $250 bottles of booze. And oh yea.......for sure the set of the week.

Friday - was my night off/prep for ultra, ended up crunked up in the hotel room thou......oops.

Saturday - ultra...... wicked party, wicked sets, but wow was it slightly overwhelming......getting everyone together and in the front door was more of a task then i could ever imagine, the strict rules ect were a little outa hand. but once we found our place to dance it was on..... a little tough getting to the bathroom and such, but whateva, im not one to complain usually.........Walked around the venue when we first got there, the other stages besides the main 2 were pretty weak, so i had no problem hanging out at the main stage all day, Infected mushroom sounded better then usual, but nothing worth writing further about. I enjoyed Infusions set but they need to work on the attitude.....quote "Were doing this live! were not up here playing records, were REAL musicians".....fuck off u losers(nice set thou) Ferry came on right after and got the crowd response infusion didnt get, everyone went nuts, looking around the amplitheatre seeing everyone was awesome.....even digi was partying it up to some ferry style trance! Oakenfold was good too, it was cool hearing ppk - resurection and some other nice classics......tiesto.....not the best ive heard outa him but still a 7.5/10 set....but his arrogance is getting outa control.......junkie xl was probley the most fun......his dance moves are the best (air guitar and flying jump kicks) ......PVD came on and showed why he closes ultra every year now....i called this to be the set of the night and pvd delivered, he was even dancing around...yup real crowd interaction!........the lazers sucked thou.....only green and the were teh ghetto ones.....booooooo ultra on your light show, nice sound and videos screens to make up for it though. Getting back to the hotel was quite the mission, and when we finally got a cab we got the tourist treatment

oh yea forgot about nikki beach.......i cant even remember what days i was there......radio 1 free party was amazing until the essential mix started and they cut the sound system except for the dj monitors on stage, i felt so bad for desyn mesillo cause ppl were booing him like it was his fault or something..(apparently the cops came and shut down the sound ...it was only 7pm?!!? wtf.) I never seen so many good looking people in one place before thou......wow.......Nikki beach on sunday night they wanted 35 bucks for carl cox, i jumped the fence instead and i found out carl cox played hours earlier booooo....but the dj on the decks did a pretty damn good job technoing me up wilst chatting up some ladies.......alright gonna go sleep for 3 days....laters.

not going to write a full review since i was with pett the whole week

tues was a lot of fun..perfect way to start off the week.

wed..caught dresden after dinner at leslie hotel. was so impressed. got me psyched for thurs.
wed nite..spin..remy was great, as well as armin..wasn't paying attention to most of markus set, but liked what i heard. the only complaints was with the heat in the place. sure the soundsystem was loud, but i prefer it that way. however there were soo many times i had to leave the dance floor due to the heat.
ran into Arturo that nite (finally) Great partying with him (and Darren and Robert)

Thurs again i agree with pett...rumi night was amazing. I hated the fact that i had to dance in heels (we were told it was strict dresscode) but regardless of pain and blisters gabriel and dresden kept me dancing until pett blackmailed me into leaving

Friday at Nikki beach was a lot of fun. The sound system was brutal, but i understand it wasn't the clubs fault, but rather the city of miami. Regardless, something must be said for being able to walk outta the ocean in yer bathing suit, and chilling on the beach with the likes of James Zabiela or G&D on the decks. Ran into Robert, Darren and Mark again (thnx for the VIP) Hit up the TA dinner. Gotta a littttle crunked..which u'll see in the pics. Friday nite, was planning on goin to space, but the nite seemed to be falling apart. sold my ticket to Cuzo. Found out later that even ppl with space passes (entry guarenteed, no lineups, no wait) were denied. PPL were paying doormen upwards of 500us to get in...um fuck that

Sat..Ultra..such an amazing event. so pissed off about the no camera rule. i found infected mushroom set to be great. it was nice to actually be able to enjoy it without the usually crazyass ppl they attract at guvy. infusion..well to say the least, won't ever pay to see them..set was ok, but the comments made were completely outta line. ferry..god i love him..his energy is incredible..hes incredible..17days and counting. Fav set was PVDs though. its easy to understand why hes the godfather of ultra. i don't think i've ever seen him dance around so much. sat nite, sold me AA ticket (damn i'm a pussy, but after dancing on bleachers for 10hrs, your legs kill. its def. hurts more then dancing on even ground) weren't back to the hotel, got crunked, fell asleep.

sunday went to nikki beach with pett...except i paid the 35$ and the night sucked...i was incredibly dissappointed. sound system was awful. unless u were inside, u didn't hear anything but rumbly bass. was most def. not worth 35$ Hell in hindsight i wouldn't have gone if it was free.

thats about it. damn this ended up longer then expected.

for the ppl i met there (or ran into there) it was awesome partying with u

but most important, the ppl i came with, pett, danielle, carns, luke, and the NC crew, jenn, terry, brutal, johnnie, ross, lilbit, robbie, muffy and star..love u guys. miss my americans daily..
