Still, I don't see what is your point since being released in several countries doesn't automatically means the track breaks the charts everywhere and gets recognized by a somewhat mainstream public. Example: check discogs for Bonzai UK. Those are all tracks released both in Belgium and UK (many of them from MIKE btw). None, or very few of them have got any sort of recognition from the mainstream anywhere.

Then you have a new purpose in life, make sure it does as of tommorrow

System J: this music is just to "deep" and "underground" for you, go back to ur trance classics and let us M.I.K.E fans enjoy great trance music from a great mastermind..

Oh don't be a fucking cock. MIKE is about as deep and underground as the Golden Gate Bridge. His big anthem schlockers that you cry as classics are trance at it's most easy to digest, and any attempts he makes at being more subtle fail miserably. Yay for someone who has used the same damn sounds for 8 years and slotted together a few chords. Mastermind my ass.

You can bitch at me all you like if you're a MIKE fanboy, but not one of his tracks are well-known enough to be considered classics, and none of them will endure the test of time. He isn't a master, he's just competent at what he does.

I can't believe one of the moderators of this forum would stoop to personal insults on my musical tastes, simply because I'm pointing out basic facts about the universal popularity of one of their favourite artists. You show me some sales figures, some chart positions, some cast iron reasons why any MIKE track has become a classic, and I'll back down. Until then, act your damn age.

Like I said. Strange World and Xpander are equally commercially viable. Yet one sold, the other didn't. Why?

well the word Tiësto is actually derived from an ancient curse used by the evil warlocks of Gamorra to spread strife and frustration amongst visitors of various marketplaces. Even today the word Tiësto still has its power.

From now on, in the name of peace and love on TA, lets name our beloved dj/ producer, DJ Tijs.

Strange World is MIKE's biggest selling record. In the UK, it entered the singles chart at #21, staying on chart for 4 weeks.

Sasha's Xpander EP didn't qualify as a single, so was placed on the album chart. Note that in the UK, albums outsell singles by a considerable margin. Xpander charted at #18 in the album chart, staying on chart for 3 weeks.

Essentially, Sasha broke a dance EP into the national Top 20 for albums, which is a feat I don't think has been accomplished by anyone else.

Xpander was a big hit, i'm not arguing that, but for something to get in any chart (esp back in the day) looking at the amount of EDM releases that get burped up 24/7, it's still a good thing to hit 21.

Also, how did strange world do in specific number globally, and i'm sure xpander did way better, but Mozart and The Beatlles did better than Sasha, so that's not a real argument.

I know, i'm pushing you, and soon you'll start to ignore my posts, but still, entertain me
