I know I'm diggin deep here but Lifeforce for old school 8 bit nintendo had amazing electronic music, way ahead of its time.

Also Streets of Rage 2 for Sega would be a close second, especially the boss scene.

These are a bit old school but some of my favorite videogame music is:

1. Ninja Gaiden on the NES Level 1 music. I love this song and someday I want to make a trance remix of it. I think it would be badass.

2. Contra boss music on the NES. Anytime you fight a boss. Love that little tune.

3. Rastan's level music in the arcade. This game was way ahead of its time both in graphics and music. They used the same tune for every level in the game but somehow I never got sick of it.

4. Music for Splatterhouse on the Turbo Grafx 16 in the Cathedral stage. A fight once broke out at a party because everyone would not STFU for this part so we could all hear how "amazing" the music was.

When I try to think of any videogame music of recent years that stands out to me, I really can't think of any off the top of my head.

The most explosive techno, house, trance and happy hardcore beats that I've ever heard in my life.

Some of my favorites are...

Rom Di Prisco- Road Warrior
The Experiment- The Cost of Freedom
Rom Di Prisco- Bring That Beat Back

(Rom Di Prisco)This guy, I tried to search for and got nothing.

Anything that has Yasunori Mitsuda's name on it is great. For me, the Chrono Cross OST is miles ahead of any other game's music.

Wipeout and then WOXL and Wipeout 3. All these albums brought me closer to Electronica of all kinds. I would have to say that with the Wipeout series made me go for this non-vocal music we call Electronica.

Wipeout 3 brought me to the sounds of PvD. His studio work is the best that I have heard.

Pop music es mort, vive le Trance!!!

I would go with Frequency it had Oakenfold, Orbital, Juno reactor, Roni Size, toni Trippi, HMX, The Chyrstal Method, this guy called Ethan Eves that did a killer DNB track, & Meat beat manifesto. Not only did you get to play the songs but you also got to remix them. And if a game has Orbital and Juno reactor then im in.
