It is not the United States/Canada/England, OK, but the majority speaks English here and some (probably) don't even have an idea that they're really swearing... If they'd translate that shit that they're posting in English to their langauage I think they would be stunned wtf they just wrote. See my point? Writing, "OMFG you damn bitches shut the fuck up, post pics or else..." is wrong peeps.

That's another issue. You're talking about the desensitizing of swearing in everyday life. This is a common "problem" whereever you go, this forum included. However, it is not the job of the moderators of TA to correct this beyond the already mentioned swearfilter. Also, the extreme examples you just mentioned (of which I haven't seen a lot of lately) usually get banned after a short period of time anyway. If you're unable to cope with this and find it so offensive I doubt TA is a place for you. But then again like Arbiter said, you'll have this kind of trouble in lots of other places too. In the end it's your loss if you let this get in the way of joining a great community, like you just said TA is.

A little bit more, in fact, Atari Community, which is one of the best gaming communities out there, has 127,919 (and growing!) memebers. Yet, there is very little spam, you DO NOT have to wait 2 days for verification of your account, mods are always on... They don't tolerate spam and on the other hand, you can talk about almost anything you want, freely. |
Well then TA moderators, it seems like you better shape up.
