Toronto VS Philly, I was at school but I phoned my friend who was watching, and he said the game rawked! This looks like it's gonna be a good series.
|
yup, if the first game is any indication of how the rest of the series is gonna go, we're in for an exciting time!!!! |

they have a deadly scoring line-up tho :) |
that doesnt mean anything come playoff time. playoffs are a whole other game. look at what happened to the sens tonight (and over the past 3 years for that matter). now granted, the sens thing tonight was only one game, but still...
anyway, i'll be tuned in tomorrow for the canucks game. it looks like a doozy of a series! 10:35 on cbc.
edit: i should learn to do some spell checking before i hit post.

| Damn what a terrible night in hockey. I'll take it up the ass today like a man. Ottawa played terrible and should have lost i'll admit it. Whoever said Ottawa has no heart is dead wrong. They want it badly this year. Don't worry though, that maple leafs lackey Don Cherry picked Ottawa to come out of the Eastern Conference this year. But they will have to play much better and play their own game if they are going to do it. |

Dallas and Edmonton, w00t! Go Edmonton! From what I heard though, they got a couple of breaks (namely, a 5 minute major in the last 3 minutes or something).
|
It was no break. Hatcher went after staios with a blatend elbow to the head. There should be a suspension. Dallas deserved to loose. From what I saw it was a great game. |

Senators have not proved much in the playoffs... Lots of Pressure on Jaques Martin, hope he gets far and proves his critics wrong...
Go Leafs, if we do make it to the finals i hope we avoid the wings/avs.... |

Great team.
Either win the cup or out in the first round. In for a vicious series. |
vancouver's a one line team.... if they make it past the firs round, naslind, bertuzzi and morrison will be worn out... i doubt they'll make it far unless others step it up...
same goes for colorado.... sakic has been playing like ass since he got back from injury... its been all forsberg and hejduk all year... |

If Ottawa chokes again, unfortunately the team is going to be lost to a different city.
That a real shame, I love them! |

umm....Vancouver is actually pretty balanced. More balanced than way over half the teams in the NHL, check the stats. It's just the fact that their 2 leading scorers are REALLY REALLY good that it overshadows everyone else.
The last half of the season, yes, Colorado has been riding Forsberg and Hejduk hard. An awesome matchup would be Colorado VS Vancouver, which is possible sometime down the line.
Forsberg + Hejduk + Tangay
VS
Naslund + Bertuzzi + Morrison
that would be fScking awesome! |

Ottawa no heart ? My ass! |
Well they keep going out of their way to prove it.
Best team in the league with home ice and they get their asses handed to them. While a team like Edmonton (without one of their best scorers) skates into Dallas and fights to the death like Scotsmen!

win the cup??
their team has hardly no playoff experience!
|
That's what everybody said about Carolina. This is gonna be one tough series and winning it will bring this team together like nothing else they've been through this season. You might of seen how physical the Dal Edm game was. Dallas will be battered at the end of it. Same as whoever comes out of the round two Det Col series. I think Van has as good a shot as anyone if they can make it outta the first round.

This game was soooo much more then a home opener. This game was supposed to be a statement game for the Sens. President's trophy and home ice through out the playoffs. This was the game where they were supposed to strike fear in their opponent, show why they were the best team in the regular season, and send a message to the entire NHL that they mean business. The team will be politically correct in their interviews (ie. Don't get to high with the highs or to low with the lows) but anyone that really knows the game knows that this loss has much greater implications than simply going down 1 game in the series.
Disclaimer: I know that guys like Chris Neil won't let them come up with such a gutless effort next game and Ottawa will bounce back to win the series. But I am definitely correct in calling them heartless ATM.

Ya but if they lose heads are gonna roll!!!! Starting with Jacques Martin.
I'm slightly biased because I'm a leafs & oilers fan but I can be objective at times. :) |

i got nothing against the canucks... he'll i'd love to see them go to the finals, but i mean, how can you call them balanced when 45% of their 264 goals for were scored by ONE line?
but yeah, col vs van would be an awesome series... |
