| hey guys, i'm coming up to NYC for the first time in 13 years...what the hell is wrong with me? why have i not been back since? anyway, i'm coming up for PVD this weekend (:D ) so i was wondering if ya'll had any advice as to what i may need in NY, things i need to know, what it's like at roxy....etc. i'd appreciate the info!! |

youll need a place to sleep and a change of clothes, preferably near 10th ave and 18th St...
and the roxy is very nice inside but no dress code...
oh, and arriving fashionably late to PvD is NOT the best idea... |

| just get to roxy early... i'd say bet. 11:30-12.. after 12 the line gets ridiculous(unless u can cut..heh) the boucers @ roxy are s ie : looks thru the cracks of the stalls to see what your doing ! lol.. at least in the men's room:eek: the club itself is ok.. the vibe is ok.. the crowd its also ok.. not all that great if u ask me hehe the rest i gues you'll find out on friday:) oh nyc prices are mad expensive.. |

hey sweetie! who are you coming with and how can i help you? Anything you need, let me know. If you want to meet beforehand, I shall be free.
Personally, I love Roxy. Not too big, not too small, good view of DJ and nice dance floor. Yes the alcohol prices are absolutely off the wall. but i quit drinking after continuously making an ass of myself @ Roxy, so this is no longer an issue. However, if you ARE a drinker, I recommend pre-gaming it at a cheaper spot.
It will probably be chilly, so even if you're going to the club half-naked, make sure you have a sweater/coat. Trust me, it's worth the $4 coat check. Ummmm....I dunno what else. like I said, let me know if u need anything.

better to wait inside than in the lineup
pvd always starts at 2am so EVERYBODY THINKS IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO GET THERE AT MIDNITE.
last feb, i got there at midnite, along with 2000 other people. got inside at 230am even while i budded half the line
so my advice... get there at 11pm!
