| ok heres the deal. Im new to the whole trance genre. I'm not even sure exactly what kind i like. I know that i like upbeat music. and i love when you have a beat that just kinda explodes into a frenzy of sounds and beats. Please help me to figure out exactly what i like...i'm a lost soul. send me links to sites where i can hear different things and whatnot. Hopefully you ta's will find me...:( |

So far i've only found 2 things, one which i cant find any more. I like that one vagas does where he's got that guy dancing through the entire video. umm.... Some guy name dj keeque or sompin remixed the whole Pink Floyde album THE WALL and that was phat, but other than that, I dont know. I think i just need to hear some stuff. |

Good to hear you have started a journey on trance! Excellent decision man, feel welcomed, because trance is just like a new world, with lots and lots of emotions but you will be in freedom, each trance song will be like a new environment to you or a different country in that world. Which all divides and seperates into different tastes and sections of trance...
I first got into trance when I was roughly 10 years old, I loved it, I got influenced by an artist named DJ Quicksilver, he is a very good trance artist now in europe. He invented Epic Trance, and his style of music now lives on around the world. If you have time, try to download some of his old tracks like..

DJ Quicksilver - Do you remember
Those tracks are very excellent tracks and it makes you feel free when you listen to it, i still follow his music, and I am one of his biggest fans today on his career path. He has a new hit in Europe called "New Life" a very good one which definately makes you feel like you have a New Life, the construction and structure of that track is excellent and it is definately the track that is making trance live on!

| Don't worry too much about classifying the tunes just yet. Get as many tracks as you can and just listen to it all and eventually you'll know what you like. That's pretty much how I did it when I first got into trance, I downloaded a lot of tracks and also bought a bunch of compilations. It's nice to have a tracklist so if there are songs that blow you away you know who produced it and can look for other tracks by the same artist. |

anyways... I reccomend listening to livesets
go to kazaa or any mp3 downloading program and download several livesets...
try popular trance DJ's like:
Tiesto
Paul Van Dyk
Armin Van Buuren
Ferry Corsten
Sasha
etc...
btw... that song you're talking about i think it's "Days Go By - Dirty Vegas" and that's a House song instead of Trance |
