I guess im classified as agnostic
I dont understand some things in religious such as "tongues"? or "speaking to god", or convulsing from the touch of a priest.
I guess if you really passionately beleive in something then you believe in it, possibly even ignoring signs that is it not the truth.
This about Schizophrenics (sp), they are delusional and have hallucinations of grandeur or conspriacies, but are these thing really true? Yes in the mind of the beholder they have created their own world, but in reality their world is far from the truth.
Relgion bothers me and i dont want it but i have no problem with people who have a religion. |

I'm not quite sure what causes speaking in tongues. My dad used to be pentecostal, so he experienced a lot of that. I believe that it is a conditioned response. Operate conditioning can get people to some quite strange things. I don't really know how speaking in tongues got started, but i think that because (at least at my dads old church) people are really pushed to being "close to god," and part of that almost required that one speaks in tongues sometime in his service to the church. I dunno... maybe i should ask him. |

my main point is dont act like you personally have the answer. However many thousands or billions of years you think the earth has been a round people have been trying to figure out the question of Gods existence. Its cool if you dont believe, it happens, its cool if you belive, it happens. Im just getting annoyed by stuff like 'that proves the non existence of God'. well, stop the presses, someone from tranceaddict.com just figure it out lol. As long as you guys are admitting this is a debate just for fun and neither one of you is going to prove anything thats fine.

You are right (in the literal sense) :)
My "statement" just pokes a little fun @ religious fundamentalists who commonly take an offensive stance on the Athiest world view.
My humour isnt working here i better go back to standup comedy... |
