BTW, who the hell cares if everything is just a dream? For all we know we could all be living in a matrix right now.. Do you care? Do I care? Didn't think so.. I'm happy as is, whether I'm in that stupid matrix or I'm not.

So why is Neo trying to save the world again?

I'd rather wait till T3.. effects should be even better than in Matrix..

If the storyline doesn't interest you then that's fine, but how exactly does it not make sense?

Besides, everyone knew there would be a sequel at the end of the first movie... as I recall Neo didn't actually "save" anything in the original. I gather that the sequel is essentially just a continuation of the first. Although I could be wrong.

Anyway there's really no reason to dump on it - like we say about all the parties, if you don't like the lineup, then don't go...

The bottom line is this:

Anyone who truely understood the Matrix knows that it is one of the best movies of all time, or at least up there.

People who didn't truely understand the Matrix didn't like it, period.

I completely understood the movie and was blown away by it when I watched it for the first time. I couldn't speak for hours as I was in very deep thought after watching that movie.

What I tell everyone is that the Matrix is shaping out to be the 21st century Star Wars. Has anyone seen the Animatrix? Specifically the pre-quel Animatrix to the Matrix part 1??

I thought it was a great movie, but not the best ever.. but everyone has their own opinion :)

I'm definitely going to see the second one when it comes out, but you won't see me waiting in line for 10 hours!

The Matrix wasn't my favourite movie either (Fight Club was), but this isn't some kind of monogamous relationship, I think we're all allowed to love more than one movie at a time. :)

Thus the reason I will be seeing this on opening day if possible. It doesn't have to be the best movie ever, it just has to be "that good." :D

You know, maybe it's time we started seeing other people, I don't think I'm ready to be this committed yet.

yea, i totally agree. The movie really gets you thinking...that's pretty much the whole point of it. The way the story comes together, the idea's. It's an amazing movie. You might wanna check this out if you really liked the movie;click. As for the Animatrix; I'm definately buying the DVD. There's a few episodes up on the Matrix site that you can download, but the one I really wanna see is The Final Flight of the Osiris, which plays before Dreamcatcher.

Durafei; i really don't understand your reasoning as to why the story sucks...but oh well.
