Why is it that every time an event thread (movie or club or whatever) gets posted, a bunch of people have to throw in their two cents about why they DON'T want to go see it?

I mean, is that really necessary?

I never see this on other forums. It's not in the Montreal section, it's not on tribe or TJ... come on guys, have some respect for other people's opinions.

i for one cannot wait for this movie

i plan on going during the day on thursday or friday to see it...probably at like noon or 1 so there isn't a large crowd and i can get a good seat

i was thinking of checking it out at an imax theatre but its too much trouble to get thre and damn expensive

i think ill be happy with my $6.50 401/morningside theatre ;)

though i am trying not to give into the hype at all...i don't want to be disappointed

i didn't give into hte hype of x-men 2 and i was absolutely blown away
somehow i think x2 will come out the dominant of the sequel battle

I can't deal with lines or waiting.......

I go to the grocery store, and if I wait for more than 5 minutes I leave, unpack my cart and go home..... I just cant mentally deal with it... That's why I always show up @ guv @ 10pm..... lol.

So no, I won't see Matrix2 on opening day... No, I haven't seend XM2 yet... I'll give it another 4 weeks, then see XM2 and then 2 weeks after see Matrix2.

BTW - I heard that XM2 was better than M2.

Hola esplandito!

I have no clue why ppl would buy tickets for this movie 2 months ahead of time or pay a large sum of money for tickets on E-bay JUST so u can be "first". I am gonna wait a few weeks and then got o Rainbow cinemas in Woodbine center as I am starting to get EXTREMELY fedup with High theatre prices. @Rainbow Ipay 4.95 (like back in the day @ the old Sherway cinemas). I will see it but I will wait a while. I am the kind of guy who likes empty theatres :D

i would not pay High ticket prices but i would really want to watch it the first day because of the fact that i have been waiting for it ever since i saw the first one and neo flied away.

and you are right ticket prices are super high but i work in a theater anyways so free movies all the way right resnick ?

MUAHHAHAHHA :haha: :disbelief

personally .. i like seeing a movie on the openning nite with a huge crowd at the biggest threatre with the best sound system and best screen .. there's juss something about an openning nite showing with the crowd all pumped up that generates an effect that u can't get seeing it 4 weeks later at a small theatre ..

i notice this especially with some movies that i've seen twice , once during the openning weekend and again about a week later. the crowds in the latter don't seem to feel as "into" the movie and i think that also affects the way u think about the movie after coming out of it ..

it's all about the atmosphere !

now...time to pretend im Neo, put on my trenchcoat and jump out of my 11th floor balcony and try to fly:D

A friend of mine scored tix to Matrix Reloaded :). So I may end up going with him. :) We'll see. It should be an awesome movie :). I loved the first Matrix. It had the most original story line I've ever seen.

HAHAHAHHAHA...i go there all the time, u must live near me or at least withing a 10 KM radius. i'm at PT UNION AND LAWRENCE (really by rouge river).

morningside is great, cheap, nobody goes during the day and the screen size is good enough that if u sit in the first 4 rows it's not overwhelming like FP theatres.

First of all, Tudo, that article you posted is absolute bull (imo)...

Second of all, I challenge anyone who didn't like the first movie to actually give a reason. Just because you can't understand it (or you think you understand it, but really don't), don't say that it sucks.

Fighting scenes not realistic? lol, nice reason.

Plot is bad? try understanding it next time.

Very few movies can combine great action scenes with a deep meaning. The movie is very philosophical, it raises a great deal of questions about the world around us, and has a lot to say about the human condition.

If what I'm writing makes no sense to you, you either need to watch the movie again, or you are the type of person who is struggling/struggled through English class...

That being said, I'm not totally sure about this next movie... I've been thinking about what they could possibly have developed (throughout the movie) and I don't really see much happening. I really hope I'm wrong though, and that they didn't ditch the philosophy in favour of the fx...
