How many of my fellow TA's struggle with school loans each semester because their schools charge tuition rates equivalent to the worth of our kidneys? (this especially goes out to you out-of-staters). FFS... I go to a public school outta state, and am one of those many souls that pays out the ass. Must of us have to turn to loans to afford going to these institutions.
Today... yay... I had to get a last-resort loan with an interest rate of about 9%... which is unGodly, because one of my other loans fell through. So this thread is dedicated to everyone here that feels enraged about these sacrifices.
The reward of these miseries, of course, is the hope we'll get a job after we graduate. (That is... if the economy allows us to have jobs hehe). The bright side is that at least I'm getting a good education, and that I'm enjoying my experience.

I went to a community college my freshman year to get some of my basic English/Math classes out of the way. That cost about $2,000 total and I lived at home during that year. |

we pay about $4600 per year (fall/winter) in most faculties in calgary, but i think medicine and management are more.
some students here are trying to fight differential tuition, as if thats any good :rolleyes:
hey rhythm, i heard student loans are 0% interest if you are still going to college, does it not work like that there? :conf:

Ya wow, I'm glad I'm in Canada. I owe about $19,000 Canadian for 3 years of University, and that covers more than just tution, I was able to live cheap and buy turntables and vinyl. :crazy:
I'll have to start paying it back soon, cuz I'm doing intership starting in May, but I'll be making more then enough to start paying it off and the interst is tax deducable. |
