I was cheesing it when i was 17 in Lincoln & Nottingham think the first night out to a club was zys in Lincoln on a student night, I was well impressed. But i always loved Trance music & got all crasher CD's etc & first proper clubbing was GCSSS last year(with a blagged VIP pass:)) about the time i registered aswell! it was quite an entry to clubbing to main memories of that were Rob Tissera playing Dejure - Sanctury, & Fergie playing AoT - Madagascar. Quality night & i never looked back onwards & upwards to Gods, GC, Judgement sunday, Eat Your Words, Fully Charged.
I still havent given up my cheddar clubs though, getting blotto is good for a laugh although i do find myself looking down on the pikeys & nobs in 'em now with an "im better than you" eye. (waits to get flamed!) |

Haha u know the score about the old helter skelter under age thingys, went to a couple of them when i was about 13 i think. Was well funny looking back just aload of wannabe rudens, hehe.
One of my best mates used to work on the door at Home and his house mate was head bouncer, so we used to get in free, but didnt go much cos it was a bit (This was in 2000). Remember seeing Paul Van Dyk there and there being all atmosphere, but it was also a decent enough night if there wasnt anythingelse on. Always ended back at our mates just doing all the drugs they'd confiscated off the door, haha, happy days.
Went to that red night once as well, to the second one i think, was a bit dead and couldnt stand the hard house they played at the end. Al and Steve who ran the night are still around doing Sacred at bars in London.
London gets alot of bad stick on this site, but when i first started going out in 99 it was wicked. Normally was off down at peach, which was just amazing. Best club ive ever been to and holds the best clubbing memories anyone could ever ask for. Havent been over 2 yrs, but times change, its got and u move on. But everyone who used to go between the hey day of 98-00, always goes on about how good it was. Even someone like me who is now seen at places like Fabric and Tribal Sessions. |
