Clubbing by yourself? (pg. 3)

never really been to a club or rave alone but then i've never been to either with any friends either, i dont have any :D
so i guess im gonna have to start going alone, plan on doing so soon |

| I often go alone when it's a dj I know I absolutely love and none of my friends would really enjoy it, and I would feel like a babysitter if they did come with. Always meet plenty of new people as well, I say do it! |

| never done it but i feel like if i haaaaaaaad to see the dj, i'd go...i'm in my own world anyway when i'm at a club so it wouldnt be too big of a deal |

| I took my friend to see PvD just 2 weeks ago. Then, she said, "I will stay here till 11:30. I have to go home because I am gonna have my exam tomorrow morning." I was like..."I know it's gonna be your exam day, but...hey! It's PvD!!! Are you sure you will miss him?" ya...she went home, and I spent my time by myself there. However, his tracks were awesome!!! yay!!! As long as i spend nice time with nice music, why not? I do go alone! ;) ;) |

| take a cell phone with you. I did when I went alone to WEMF (that was like 10,000 people, biggest party I ever went to at that time) cause no one wanted to go with me. As some people said I crused around for a bit like a spare part, but I smoke weed, and if u got a little nugget its not hard to meet people =P As soon as the party really got going I hopped on the cell phone and called some people that would come. Yelled "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA You're missing this and held the phone up to the speaker for a minute. It'll make u fell better =) All in all I had a great time too. |

HA! SO TRU! My friends and i do that all the time. I will call them or they will call me while we are working and be like.. DUDE YOUR MISSING THIS PHAT TRACK!!! and hold the phone up... eventually they end up comming because they realize what a mistake they had done..lol |

I'm getting to where I'll only go to Trance clubs by myself or with other TA's. No one else can get into as much as we can, I've found.
In Gainesville there are getting to be more and more DnB clubs. A few of my friends like it, but i'd rather go by myself than with my girl or with my friends that would just rather be listening to hiphop.
If you go by yourself and you are the type that stands in the corner, yeah, you'll get laughed at. But if you are in the middle of the floor putting on a show for everyone else, then how is anyone gonna know you came by yourself? It doesn't matter. Go see Corsten by yourself! I definatly would! |

Personally I can have just as much fun going to an event with good mates that are into the music, as I can by myself. It's awesome rockin away with your best mates so choons you are passionate about, when you know they are too... and going alone, there's a certain excitement about being there alone and being able to do whatever you want, meet whoever you want, even be whoever you want! :p
I find it also depends on the crowd at the party though. Back in Melbourne it was so easy going and simple to meet nice people and just have a blast. But the people in Texas are much different and I find I just can't do that here. It's like they care too much about their image and to be blunt, are just rude. |

it helps if you know someone you know could be there, just as a fall back option if you absolutely are having a ty time. but its nice to be able to wander where you want without having to make a comittee decsion all the ing time.

| I've been to parties alone before. It's great being able to be your own boss. You meet way more people too! Wow, so cool to see people who've had similar experience to me going alone. Being in the club is never a problem, but waiting to get in while alone sux..unless you meet people in the line that are really cool. |

i ALWAYS go alone. i cant tolerate having to babysit my friends in the club or having to leave when they are done. if i want to close i do it with no strings attached. it is so much better cause i can roam around and talk to whoever i feel like.
granted, most of the time i go out, i knwo ppl from one messageboard or another. or at my regular club, i can roll in and know 20 ppl in front of the dj booth.
but i will never be restricted cause i dont have anyone to go out with. |

I have done it MANY times.. it is half as bad as u would think. If u go out for dancing, you don't need mates, most of the time anyhow. And u'll meet new people at the club ... so go ahead and listen to scott project :) |
