Who would you like to see record a GU album? (pg. 4)

| I would love to see an Underworld GU. I know Darren Emerson has done two. But I would like the remaining memebrs of Underworld (Karl Hyde & Rick Smith) to do a GU. They have remained true to the underworld sound after the departure of Emerson, I reckon they would turn in a really original and twisted mix. |

I think Max Graham deserves a GU or Nubreed.
Instead he gets a goldclub album |
Have you listenend to it? I thought it was pretty wicked... |

To be honest I don't like the idea of G&D, Hybrid or any other well know producers doing a GU. Yes they may be decent producers, but they're not notable Dj's. With the exception of James Lavelle, all the Dj's that have done GU's have made their names from Dj-ing primarily and not their production. A GU dj must have the ability to get sounds from a whole range of artists and create soundscapes that can actually mean something, and its for this reason that the GU series have become so popular.

I think that's a very good point you brought up. But there are a lot of producers, ie. Steve Porter, Bill Hamel, Moshic, etc. are very good DJs too. Maybe we just haven't exposed to their mixing that much to notice their DJing abilities.
I would very much like to see Sasha do another GU (although it's very unlikely for the near future.) My next choice is Ian Ossia followed by Terry Francis.
As for Nubreed, I would love to see Fortier, Cattaneo, Saeed & Palash or Jimmy Van M! |

Hybrid, I like his style, and I think he could give some fresh air with his breaks to the sometimes boring deep progressive stuff.
Steve Porter, for a NuBreed maybe, not just a cool producer, also a good dj.
James Holden, amazing producer, and really impressive trackselections at his sets. |

That would be great, but not in a month of sundays will that happen. think any trance in the GU series was left with Oakenfold. |
