| 8 was alright. the story was not as breathtaking as the 7th and 9th ones in my opinion. |

| Didn't like it very much. The graphix on the other hand are beautiful for PS1. But besides that I find that there isn't much of a storyline here. Very lil character development. The intro is cool tho. |

FF7 is the best FF ever...well, maybe it rivals FF3 (US FF3...JAP FF6)...characters were amazing, plot was crazy and all the goodies in the game (vincent, yuffie, ruby and emerald, goldsaucer, chocobo breeding and the whole cloud/zack personal) made it so damn enjoyable!
***don't know what im talking about when i refer to zack? go back to the shinra mansion in nibelheim in the 4th disc (or was it 3rd? im sure it's the fourth) and go into the lab***
ahhh...that's how u got to Midgar! |

| My personal opinion is that FF8 is the best of the series... possibly only made better if it had FF10's graphics (mmm...) :D |

After finding Zell's mom and after talking to the guards you can search for the captain. First go the the Dock then Zell's house, Train station, The Dock again (talk to the dog there), He leads you to the train station where the captain sleeps. After that go the Hotel. And fight :D succes. :) |

great game. some people hate it. I'm not sure why :conf: probably cause of the story......which is a little ed up and you might not like it if you don't actually understand what happens at the end. Very epic love story tho :) i enjoyed it |

FFVIII never really impressed me for a few reasons.
First of all, I love Square for putting a variety of hidden things in their games, but the draw system for the guardian forces absolutely killed me.
The first time I started playing the game I missed a few of the early GF's, and when I realised it I got supremely pissed and erased my memory card save and started over. So they lost points right off the bat.
Next though, the hidden GF's are beyond the realm of comprehension to me...who the hell is actually going to get the Tonberry GF for instance, without reading a FAQ? I don't like things being hidden beyond the realm of reasonable.
The main bitch I had about the game was the overpowered nature of magic, I spent the whole game summoning GF's, and I never really felt it was even vaguely challenging.
The plot was mediocre, and I never really found myself gripped by the game, IMHO the worst of the PS Final Fantasies and the worst of the modern FF franchise (FFIV and up...)
FYI, my ranking of the modern FF games from best to worst:
FFIV
FFVI
FFIX
FFVII
FFV
FFVIII
Haven't gotten around to X yet, still slowly playing through other PSX RPGs at the present, and Xenosaga is definitely higher on my list as Xenogears was my fave PSX RPG... |
