When you're drunk.. how come you can't remember?

| Been bothering me.. does anyone know why your so ing drunk you cant remember the slighest thing?.. Why?.. I mean.. I drank like two bottles of Smirnoff's and heck I could remember EVERYTHING that happened, meanwhile others probably drank the same and didn't remember ANYTHING, I'm not a heavy drinker, but I know for sure I have weak Tolerance to alcohol, does anyone know? |

| That's actually something I never experienced and don't really understand. I always know what I'm doing even if I'm dead drunk, it just takes twice the time to do it right :D |

I have the same everytime. When i'm drunk, I can't remember a thing. It ALWAYS happens.
It's 'cuz of the alcohol you drink, gets into your blood system. That blood reaches your brains. There, the alcohol starts effecting your frontal part of your brain. Since alcohol is a toxic liquid, it'll there start to kill your brain cells.
Effects:
1)Good feeling(=being drunk)
2)You get more loose
3)you don't thing that much about WHAT you are doing(=more agressive)
4)Your short term memory isn't filled up with what is happening.
So, in fact, it kills your brain cells making you: :crazy: |

| ive been smashed acouple times, passed out once too, but i still remember everything.....it all depends on how u think while ur in ur intoxicated state....how much effort u put in wanting to remember everything happening.... |

That's what people SAY. Didn't you notice that a lot of kids think it's funny to get drunk and then claim that they have no idea what happened? Or to use "I can't remember anything" as an excuse for something wrong or stupid they did WHILE they were drunk?
If you speak with the older adults, (26 and over) you'll realize that this need to tell your buddies that "oh my God I was sooooo pissed man, I can't remember " disappears. Instead, you can relive the memories from that particular night.
As a side note, I remember my first time that I got drunk (at 15) and I ended up getting very very sick. I still REMEMBERED everything that happened, including puking by the pool lmao. Hmmm I'm thinking about it right now, and I just realize that I can remember much more from a night out being drunk, than a night out rolling.

I've only had memory loss once.
New years eve, i had like a million shots of vodka/zambuka*sp* and other things, all within 30 mins.
I dont remember much past 11:30, actually, i dont remember anything...
but any other time, i've remembered everything.

you drank two ing bottles of vodka and you aren't have heavy drinker and have a weak tolerance, if that was ture, ur ass should be in the hospital now close to alcohol posining. Anyways, I always remeber whawt goes on when I'm drunk no matter how trashed i am, that usually is the way with my friends also, except back at the university one of my friends would get drunk about every other day (yes he has a liqour problem) and wouldn't remember jack about what happened. You would tell him everything htat happened that night and he will remember only the first 20 minutes of drinking. |

hehe, a funny thing has happened to me while well pissed. I usually don't forget anything on a night out. Anyway, the weird thing is this, i was so trashed, that i passed out in my parents car as they drove me home :toothless and when i got home, everything was spinning and i really needed to puke. So here comes the funny bit. I remember lifting up the top lid and throwing up, but when i was done, there was a huge line of puke across the top lid, which i physically cant remember as i swear to god i thought i had puked AFTER i'd stuck my head in teh toilet :stongue:

Seems I'm one of the only ones who has huge memory loss. I mean, I drink 7 or 8 vodka oranges, I'm still in a rather good shape, but the morning after, I can't even remember how I ended up in my bed! Every saterday and/or sunday morning is a mysterie, a discovery of what happened the night before :haha:
Puking... how I HATE that. I mean, I don't usualy puke the evening itself, but the morning after, just after I opened my eyes, i feel this unpleasant feeling in my troth and i run to the bathroom and puke (ALOT) in the toilet. Why do we puke from alcohol? |
