Do you think progressive house music is for 19+?
cause I notice 19- are more interested in uplifting and regular trance
and 19+ are interested more in progressive scene

am i the only one who voted??

I think you just see it that way because of the way clubs book the djs that play there and how they have it 19+ etc. If more of the 19+ clubs weren't interested in uplifting/regular trance then why would Guv bring Armin 4 times up till now, or Marco V or Ferry 3 times or Tiesto? On regular nights it's a bit of both. I think Guv or even System on regular nights play both styles of music as they have rooms for it.

doesn't mean that 19+ aren't interested in trance, just that few 19- aren't so interested in prog...seems to be an astute observation IMO. i dunno why more youngins aren't into prog

well i'd prolly agree with that statement cept for most people 19- don't even like trance, they just like top 40.. i'm 17 and i like prog so there! (don't know much about it but like the sound)

Agreed. Whenever I look at a 19+ club that plays prog (take Lotus for example) it's as if they market it towards being "mature", "business" type of atmosphere (I read a review from someone in here that said people were just standing around not dancing or anything). I mean that type of vibe isn't for me...imo. I want to party and groove to the tunage and meet cool people. Not go there and act like I'm some sort of elitist etc. Doesn't matter what kind of tunage they play, for me whether or not it's prog or trance, as long as people are dancing and having a wicked ass time I could care less.

this question can be interpreted in so many ways .. the 2 that came to my mind was ..

"Do you think that progressive house music is intended more for people who are 19+?"

and

"Do you think that progressive house music is being listened to by more people who are 19+?"

wells.. i believe that there are probably more people who are 19+ that listen to progressive as opposed to people who are 19- , however this doesn't mean to say that the music shouldn't be intended for anyone who is 19- . Music is music and anyone at any age should be free to listen to it.

Now why do I think that there are more people who are 19+ listening to progressive.. ? wells as said earlier, probably most of the places that play this kinda stuff is done in 19+ venues. And other forms of music.. ie. Top 40, hip hop , R&B, alternative, and even trance seems to be more accessible and pimped than prog is ..

if there are jsut a few among the 19- age group that listen to prog, why should promoters/clubs cater to them and thereby make alcohol arrangements and worry about lisencing and getting screwed over if anythign happens???
