Anyways I bought a sony cd player, figured sony is supposed to be the best. It's a basic one with G-Protection. Well it's supposed to be virtually impossible to make it skip, that's what they said at the sony store lol, well the stupid thing skips if I tap, and I had it exchanged like three times, second exchange the player wouldn't even play anything ha ha ha. So avoid sony stuff, my 700's good sound but they fell apart, and the warranty does not cover physical damage (Useless)
Anyways all sony have the same G-Protection, so I don't know if it's possible to have three units work like in row, or is sony just a ty product |

Yep the G-Protection is switched on, maybe I just had pure bad luck with the product, and I don't feel like going and exchanging for the 4th time lol |

i bought a sony cd/mp3cd player
I have not had a single problem with it skipping or anything
maybe you just bought a cheap model or the wrong model.
Go give them hell, try to exchange it for something else.
Sony tries to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
If you really are scared about taking it back a 4th time, then pm me and I'll tell how to get around it. |

sounds like bad luck. maybe a bad batch.
i love my mz-r900 sony minidisc player :D dropped it onto concrete so many times, chipped off some finish, still works like a charm (just need to know the 'special' way to insert the mds, haha :p)

| Sony generally makes some of the best cd players. Its a shame that some of their products don't always meet standards. |

i agree ..i have the MZ N1 MD player i have no problem with skipping, sound quality is excellent if you copy of a orginal cd. the only thing i think they can do better is increasing the size of the media from 74 mins to maybe 200 mins and even changing the earpieces they give, they are not that good. |
