kz .. where do i begin .. ?
this was probably one of my best and worst nights ever !
Arrived at the complex approx. 11:30pm with Endlesswave after an awesome BBQ at my Godfather's place having been stuffed with enough meat. ie. beef steak, lamb, chicken wings, etc.
(Secion 001)
Got inside complex and had ONE Smirnoff Ice. (Section 002)
Wandered into the acid lounge with Endless for 12:30am to be at the TOTA meetup. Found literally everyone inside which looked to be the start of a most slamming party. Took some pictures and ordered a REV (Secion 003).

after spending about 20 mins in the Acid Lounge we then made out way into the Koolhaus for the sweet sounds of Mauro Picotto. After standing around with the crew for about 10 mins .. all of a sudden BOOM!!!
at this point the nite started becoming a blur (and so did my vision). Apparently something that I had ate at the BBQ (see Secion 001) did not seem to agree with the booze I downed and it literally felt like the alcohol was trying to leave my body in everyway that it could including the pores in my palms.
For anyone who might be wondering where I was the whole nite, I was sitting near the right side of the stage in KH puking my brains out while trying to avoid having bouncers see me and risk being thrown out. Massive respects to: Endlesswave, Bizz, maxtuh, Time2Burn, DigiNut, and The Highroller for gutting it out with me by the side for a good 4 HOURS !! (tru playaz!) I dunno how I woulda been able to stay the rest of the night without you guys helping me out there. I also want to appologize to anyone of you who might have felt held back from partying out on the floor because of me, I felt like a burden at times and it was quite embarassing to say the least..
Anyhow, so yea after the pre-meet that was just about the last time that I saw many of you. After spending half the night sitting by the side drinking loads of water and vomitting everything that I had ate the night before including (see Section 002 and 003), 3 or more times.. I finally felt conscious enough to stand up and find everyone else in the venue. Wandered back into the Orange Room to find Ezekiel_D3 and Tordan inside only to be trapped due to causes already explained in prior reviews. I managed to leave the Orange Room, get outside and fool some bouncer into thinking that a friend had my coatcheck ticket inside the Guv so he let me back in. Found Time2Burn inside but eventually left due to the fact that everyone else had been kicked out onto the street about 20 mins earlier.
so yea that was pretty much my nite in a nutshell. Next time no more booze after a real big BBQ for me ..

Wowzer, cannot believe this thread is 4 pages already!
So without further ado, here's my review:
Decor: 10/10! Definitely one of the more impressive setups I've seen in that complex. The DJ cage was trippy!
Picotto: 9/10. Bangin' set but also melodic, not just techno beats without any substance. It did get a little repetitive from time to time (as techno does), so it was great that the other DJs were throwing such good sets too...
Storm & Total Science: 7/10. I'm clumping these into one because I thought the sets sounded fairly similar. I found the sets a little too hardcore junglish (as opposed to mellower DnB-ish) for me to spend more than 20-30 minutes on at a time, but I thought the MCing was excellent and more than made up for it. The local DJs, IMO, were spinning more interesting tunes that kept me dancing for about an hour and a half.
Deep Dish: 8/10. They have renewed my faith in progressive house. I thought their set had great variety, from loungy to funky to trancy to hard. A little too repetitive at times but otherwise great stuff. However, the Guvernment was entirely too crammed, and I did not get to hear the end, unfortunately, since I was in the KH at "closing time."
Management: 4/10. I think this is worthy of mentioning as well... the club was obviously faced with a very difficult situation and did what they had to do in the interests of everyone's public safety, which I commend them for. However, common sense tells me that this incident was partly due to carelessness and could potentially have been avoided. Also, even though it was 6 AM, I still paid to be there until 8:30 and I am very disappointed that there was no offer of compensation. I also thought that the bouncers were quite rude in clearing people out.
The ing tweaked-out puffy-red-hair whistle bitch: -6/10 If I ever see you on the street, I'll beat you senseless, I swear to god. I'll be carrying a lead pipe with me at all times for this sole reason.
Shouts & props to all the TAs that came out to represent, especially the ones that helped take over the Acid Lounge until after 1 AM. I don't want to list names since there are too many and I will undoubtedly forget someone. Was great to see some new faces as well. I can't help noticing a certain group of people who did not bother coming to the meetup - I'm not going to cut anyone up for it, but in all sincerity, I was looking forward to meeting some of you and I wish you'd be a little more sociable with the rest of us. It's kind of awkward being in there, knowing that some of you probably recognize me from the pictures but don't feel like saying hello... :/
One of my friends there made a comment to me in total innocence that totally cracked me up: he said in the Guvernment, at about 2 or 3 AM, "I heard this place turns into a gay party later on, maybe I should go to Koolhaus soon." Hahahaha, but he did NOT mean it as a joke! Fortunately this did not happen, and fortunately for him he stayed in the Guv until 8:10. But it's funny that the Guv is getting this kind of a reputation, because he knows nothing of TA or Tribe and is just a reg there.

- And of course the after-party crowd, you know who you are. It was a great way to neutralize the tiness of being kicked out, so when I went home I actually felt pretty good about the whole event. :) Huge thanks guys, I owe ya.

there was a guy inside the ceiling of kool haus? WTF thats crazy haha i wonder how he got up in there.. and what drove him to do that!
also my brother was telling me that some guy was climbing the ball cage surrounding mauro? lol. the night was great all and all! first highlight hearing teh opening dj in guvernment playing
john creamer - lift up the needle (ellis d remix) I LOVE THIS Track omg.. it was soo nice to hear!
mauro's set was incredibly hard.. but his mixing was very off for some reason.. must have been a bad setup??
the whole fiasco about locking everyone in the rooms they were in (GUV AND ORANGE ROOM) was ridiculous.. not to mention kool haus getting closed down early.. i was stuck in the jungle room for a long time it was fun.. but i would have been rather seeing deep dish.
did anyone get a tracklisting for deepdish's set? or mauro's set that remix of coldplay clocks.. what was that called? (the one that mauro played)
great night again all in alll great to see and meet a bunch of new tranceaddictS!!!!!
