do what you want to do?
why do you have this thread? (not bashing it...just part of the build up :D )
you are all human beings and you do what your want, your actions have consequences and if you want to be a prick then be a prick.
however, that said, i really couldn't live with myself being a total asshat...i'll open a door for just about anybody and it doesn't really have to be a grrl. you just do what makes yourself happy...and if being a womanizer makes you happy then do it! for me, i'll just be nice, because in the end that's how i want to be treated.
affirmative action is BS to an extent, but just remember, money buys you a whole crap load of advantages that the disadvantageous do not have! besides, a heterogenous workforce has been proven to respond better to today's competitive forces. |

LOL...seriously that was just a bad case...but again, you have a point for just giving up seats because they are women. however, you know that you have to try and be nice from time to time you prick (and you call yourself nice) :eyes: j/k |

So if we are all equal now, why should Chivalry exist and women expect men to be chivalrous if they are equal? why should i open the door for her? why should i vacate my seat so that she can rest her tush? why should i let her walk before me?

i don't think this is an issue with equality. it just seems to be a byproduct of gendre roles in our society. In other societies there are communities where women take the dominant role in certain cases. If things were 100% equal everywhere , then men would be breast-feeding their babies .. :toothless |

I think it depends on the woman.
Blanketing all of them under that assumtion is wrong IMHO.
It's their prerogative whether we should be chivalrous or not and will take some tact on the gentleman's part as to whether he should or not.
I say, as a matter of courtesy, start out that way; if she doesn't like it, she'll tell you (or should).
