Do you know what country 1200s.comn is based in?
Maybe you should try to contact the Department of Fair Trading in that country and make a complaint.
Also, if you ordered with a credit card (Visa, American Express etc) then you should contact your credit card company and tell them what you haven't received the goods that you paid for. |

Alla you need to report these guys to the BBB. For $9000 I'd take them to court and then get a debt collection agency to go retrieve my money for me.
A word of warning for everyone out there - do not buy off websites without speaking to a human there first (unless they are someone like amazon or dell obviously). You have no proof that the business actually exists, they could be registered somewhere like fiji where you've got a snowballs chance in hell of getting your goods or money back. I mean how easy it it so set up a website, advertise 1210's half price and watch the money flow in. I have bought technics (four times) both in the states and in europe and found that everytime, by phoning around and getting local shops to price beat each other and only buying from them when they have the stock there to pick up same day, I have got a better deal than I have ever seen advertised in any magazine or website. Also once your are in the shop if you show you can do the deal that day you can get a further discount. Also speak to someone who has the authority to give a discount, and don't be afraid to threaten to walk out and take your money elsewhere is the price is not quite right, because someone out there will do the deal as long as it's reasonable.
Beware of dealers selling "black" or "grey" market imports and technics that are not meant to be sold in your region:
For a list of regional serial numbers check:
http://music.hyperreal.org/dj/sl1200.html
But i would avoid the maintenance/tips/tricks he suggests as there are more accurate ways to do the fixes/tricks and some of his info is wrong and or out of date. |

Why didn't I find this post before I placed an order to hollywooddj.com. I ordered several lights from them for total of 600 dollars. Half of them were defective and 2 I didn't like. When I called to get an rma number for 2 that I didn't like, Bobby (refunds) was trying to tell me that there is a 15% restocking fee for these 2 lights, when in fact their web site states that with in 7 days of returning in new condition 100% refund. I waited a week for him to give me an RMA number for all of these lights. I keeping sending e-mails to allen skamoeil the general manager, and also some lady named Crisel and also to bobby but no one calls me back regarding this return. I called and the lady says that he is our or in the warehouse and they she will have boddy call me, but no one ever does.
I need you help.!!!!!! Anybody live in or around this store in los angels. I need some one to kiss his ass an get me my refund.
I will be filing a compliant with the BBB and the FTC.

Now that I work for a company that does similar stuff. Email them telling them that you are reporting them to the BBB, than they will contact you indefinitely begging you not to - do it anyway.
Also, In your email, make sure you tell them that you will email Pioneer telling them that unauthorized internet dealers are using their images to sell their products. Just because they have it on the site doesnt necessarily mean that they are authorized. Im pretty sure that they will waive the restocking fee.
Authorized internet dealers:

Did you use a credit card to purchase this? If so, dispute the full amount.
PS: I hope you kept records of all your emails. |

| btw, the reason why you throw in that Pioneer threat is... Pioneer is very anal about unauthorized dealers using their pictures to sell their products, and what will happen is that they will get a warning from the company to remove the pictures, if they do not comply, they will contact their network host and shut down their servers. ;) |

Last week I ordered 2 MK5s and a Vestax 275 from borron on the TA "For Sale" threads. I totally trust the guy after we exchanged over 10 e-mails before he shipped it. Last e-mail I got from him was him saying he shipped it. Its been 5 days and 2 e-mails by me (one about help setting it up and another about proof of shipping) without a response. I sincerely hope he's on vacation and hasn't checked his e-mail yet! I tend to overreact whenever I spend money online!

Yesterday Sept 25, 2005, I called hollywooddj.com and spoke with bobby (returns dept). I returned two light because I just didn't like them. He received my packages two weeks ago, but didn't bother to contact me. The two lights that I send back to this company because I didn't like them. He states that the box he received was badly damaged and that he has to charge me 15% restocking charge, because now he cannot sell it as new, he also stated that I didn't double boxed the items, when I know for a fact that I did. I called ups and put in a claim for the damaged box, Then I called bobby to tell him that UPS is comming to inspect the box. He started to stutter and seemed lost. I hung up.
I had a very strong feeling that he would come up with some excuses or stories not to give me my refund. Hollywooddj.com, electro mart, inc are all owned by the same owners. They are from IRAN. The head owner is Siavash Shamoeil. His home number is 310-477-1840. A lady answers the phone and when I ask to speak with siavash, she tells me that I have the wrong number and then she gives me the number to hollywooddj and tells me to call there. :eyes:
I plan on calling all time of the day and night until I speak with him and get my refund.
I also returned 5 defective lights, Bobby, said that he still have to look them over before he can give me any information on refund. It's been over a week since they got these lights.
I NEED HELP from all of you! I did file a compliant with the BBB. I also filed a complaint with CALL FOR HELP organization. I am looking over to file a compliant with FTC. HEY!!! It would be good if you guys help me with this. Call the above number and ask to speak with Siavash shamoeil ask her or/him about my refund. I would really appreciate this. I will return the favor.
Thanks
