But usually the people I've met with this attitude are anything but "cool".
They're usually people with some serious misconception of their actual status within society and build themselves up as a result of some underlying lack of confidence and acceptance in the world. They choose to place themselves above others in an attempt to justify the fact that they are outcasts.
Not to generalize about you, of course.. But in my general observation this seems to be the case [you of course could be an exception].
None the less, one suggestion: even if someone is abrasive, it doesn't mean you have to be. Being mature and level headed will get you farther in life than throwing insults, offenses and retorts. |
